This rare Marlow 57 Command Bridge had many upgrades. They include new Garminelectronics including three 15" touch screen displays and a 6kw radar, sounder module, and XMsatellite antenna for XM Weather. Flowsan gauges were also added at this time so you can findthe best operating RPM for the Lugger Engines.

Bet-A-Buc offers the living space of a much larger vessel due to the elimination of the need fora lower helm. The galley forward will make any chef feel right at home.

A nice outdoor seating area is aft of the Command Bridge. This deck area features a large builtin seat and fixed tables and there is space for free standing tables and chairs as well. Youwon't find this much comfort and capability in anything less than 70'.

Bet-A Buc is an exceptional motor yacht providing comfort and cruising capability you will onlyfind in much larger yachts. Her enclosed bridge, twin generators, and heavy duty Luggerengines will take you to out of the way places in comfort and style. She has a 1,000 mile rangeat 8-9 knots and will cruise at 17 knots when you want to get there fast.

Her satin cherry interior is warm and inviting. The joinery work throughout the yacht isexceptional as is the hardware and fixtures.

She has a fully enclosed Command Bridge eliminating the need for a lower helm and allowingthe creation of a Galley that will make any cook feel right at home. The Granite counter tops

are right by the windows looking forward. The dining area seats 6 comfortably and is just a fewsteps aft of the galley.

The owner just completed a major upgrade to the electronics including the installation of thelatest Garmin touch screen chart plotters and high definition radar and a new HI-DEF televisionsatellite receiver.

SalonSalon

The salon is very comfortable offering built in seating on the starboard side with generousstorage under the cushions and two free standing chairs on the port side. The large LCD TV isforward for easy viewing from any of the salon seat. As you come in the salon one of the firstthings you notice is that you can see right through to the dining area and galley giving you avery spacious open feeling. Her composite construction makes her an exceptionally quite yachtunderway or in a busy marina. The salon also has a Bose surround sound system that is perfectfor music or watching movies and a large flat screen TV on the forward cabinet. The floors arebeautiful Teak and holly and the walls are satin finished Cherry. The large L-shaped settee isdone in Chianti Ultraleather that is beautifully tufted. Under the salon seats there is a wellhidden string of 110V lighting that provides perfect accent lighting. In addition there is 24VItalian and Cabin Danmark lighting and valance lighting. At the forward end of the salon youwill find a wine cooler and Ice maker.

GalleyGalley

The U-shaped galley is located in the forward part of the pilothouse. The black granite countertops are under the forward pilothouse windows and wrap around to the port side to thepilothouse door. A Dacor cook top with beautiful SS pot holders is installed in the port sidecounter top. Directly under the cook top is a full size oven. There is a large convectionmicrowave on the forward side of the Galley. All the cabinets are done in light cherry with asatin finish. The galley is equipped with Sub-zero refrigeration and freezer drawers. The Frankieheavy stainless steel sink is equipped with a Grohe faucet and a separate drinking water faucetthat provides water from the double filtered separate drinking water supply.

The galley opens into the dining area to make the area feel very open. The dining table is donein solid cherry as are the 6 custom built cherry chairs. Under the counters are custom storagecabinets with solid cherry doors. Some of the Cabinets have been designed with clear lexaninserts to hold the china in place while at sea. All the cabinets have lights and there is a well-concealed rope light underneath that is perfect as an accent light or night light.

Command BridgeCommand Bridge

Morse electronic engine controls and Glendinning synchronizer complete the helm. Two chartdrawers and a navigation area are to starboard of the helm console.Ventilation is provided by two large opening Manship hatches with screens and the aft door canbe opened. On hot or cold days the area is kept comfortable by the reverse cycle Marine Airsystem. Behind the helm seat there is an L shaped settee and large cherry table that has beenelevated several inches to provide an excellent view while seated.

Master StateroomMaster Stateroom

The master stateroom is amidships full width, making it very light and roomy with teak andholly sole throughout. Bet-A-Buc has an island queen berth with eight large drawers under theberth. The walls and cabinetry are all satin finished cherry. There are two cedar lined hanginglockers and several lockers with shelving along the starboard side. The forward bulkhead hastwo sets of louvered doors that open to provide access to the full size Asko washer and separatedryer. The forward port corner of the stateroom has a full length beveled dressing mirror.The 17" LCD TV is easily viewed from the bed. There is beautiful cherry nightstand on each sideof the bed with 3 large dovetailed drawers mounted on ball bearing slides. A swing arm lamp ismounted just outside the headboard on each side to provide perfect light for reading. Abeautiful curved solid cherry valance over the headboard of the bed has small halogen lights ona dimmer. The slots in the top of valance diffuse the air-conditioning and send it out into themiddle of the room, keeping cool drafts off the bed. There are 5 opening port lights withscreens. When you want privacy, drapes can be closed to cover the port lights.

The ensuite head is very spacious with vanity, light colored granite counters, under-mountedchina sink bowl, Grohe faucet, several drawers and cabinets with shelves for storage oftoiletries. A large linen closet over the head allows storage for several sets of towels and bedlinens. The shower area has a large teak-framed Lexan door and the shower sides are finished inhigh gloss gelcoat trimmed in cherry. There is a nice cabinet in the shower area to storetoiletries.

The upgraded Vacu-Flush Magnum Opus toilet has a switch that prevents the unit from cyclingat night. The tank tender is next to the head allowing you to see the state of the holding tank ata glance.

VIP Stateroom, Forward PortVIP Stateroom, Forward Port

The VIP stateroom forward has a centerline queen island berth with six large drawers under theberth. All the cabinetry is satin finished cherry. Each hull side is finished with overhead lockerswith louvered cherry doors and a cedar lined hanging locker. There is 15" flat screen TV that ismounted in a custom cherry frame. This stateroom has a telephone, CD stereo and above berthreading lights. Two Manship screened overhead hatches provide light and fresh air.


There is a full head with separate stall shower accessible from the stateroom or thecompanionway to allow use as a day head. The Lexan shower door is a beautiful curved shapeframed in solid cherry to make the best use of the space. Outboard of the shower is a largelinen locker. Both the head and the shower have exhaust fans vented outside the vessel. Thesink is an undermounted china bowl on a light granite top finished with cherry fiddles.

The second guest stateroom is on the port side of the vessel at the base of the stairs from thePilothouse. This stateroom provides two comfortable bunks and a cedar with hanging locker.There is a 15" flat screen TV on the aft bulkhead viewable from the berths and a CD radio.

This stateroom doubles as an office with a nice desk that is designed to securely store a laptopwith easily accessible power and phone line. There is a hanging file drawer and severalbookshelves and storage drawers.

The electrical system is set up so you can run on the inverter for most of a day and certainly allnight so there is no need to run the generator if you do not need AC or heat. Many customersfind they only need the gen set for a couple hours a day when the weather is nice. Theelectrical panel is well laid out and easy to understand. You will fell right at home on Nokomis.

DeckDeck

You can tell right away that this vessel is built for extended cruising. Her Awl grip Flag Bluehull has recently been buffed and waxed and the bottom has recently been painted. The wideside decks and Portuguese bridge will keep everyone aboard safely aboard and secure whenhandling lines. On the foredeck you will find large stainless anchors and a heavy duty Maxwellwindless. There are twin 50A shore power cords at the bow and stern. The fuel fills are up offthe deck on either side of the house and you can fill her 1200 gallon tanks from either side.

On deck you can see that the teak planks do not have bung holes hiding screws, because thereare no screws they are epoxied in place. You can tell that the deck is molded as one piecebecause there are no seams from the transom to the bow, including Portuguese bridge. Thewindshields and side windows are tinted and laminated with a layer of 3M Hurricane shield to atotal thickness of 11mm, twice what most builders use in vessels below 100'

Engine RoomEngine Room

If you are not familiar with Lugger engines, they are the diesel engine side of a Northern Lightsgenerator. These engines are the work horses of commercial vessels all over the world includingmany fishing vessels in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. They are slower turning than thereCaterpillar, or MAN competitors and are relatively simple motors. This is the perfect choice forthe owner operator who prefers to do some of the maintenance himself. You don’t need alaptop and special software to work on these motors! The engine room is spotless, TheNorthern lights generators are in sound shields making them very quiet. The oil and filters werejust changed in the generators and main engines so she is ready to go for another year. Theengines have 730 hours on them.

Most professional captains tell us that we have the best engine room they have ever been in ona vessel of this size. You can get to everything quickly and safely with 6'2" head room. The areais well lit with 110V and 24V lighting. There are 110V and 24V blowers to cool the space down


after a run and the area is air-conditioned so maintenance can be done in comfort. There is alarge mirror on each side of the engine room, angled perfectly, so you can inspect the outboardside of the engine without going outboard. Each diesel engine has duel Raycor filters. The fuelsystem is very simple with 2 large tanks that are usually set up as one (1200 gallons total) withthe crossover open. The engine beds are very heavy polished stainless steel and secure theengine vibration isolation mounts to the hull stringers and run all the way past thetransmissions to accept the thrust load of the Aquadrive units. The dripless shaft seals have acrossover tube that supplies water from both engines so you can safely run on one engine. Thereare two 20KW Northern Lights Generators in custom clear Lexan sound shields.

Just forward of the engines in the center of the room is a sea chest with removable clearcleaning port. Each of the engines, generators, air-conditioning, washdown and all the othercomponents of the yacht that require salt water have their own shut-off valve on the sea chest.One hull opening for all sea water needs provides great safety. The 700 HP Lugger engines areconnected to the underwater exhaust system via high temperature silicone hose to furtherisolate noise and vibration.
