Catch the Composite Wave:and Surf Its Potential!

Bud Mopper, DDS, MS

Course Description: This program will show how to achieve perfection easily with free-hand bonding. Dr. Mopper will show how to use bonding in unexpected ways. He will demonstrate ways to achieve consistently reliable results and will give recipes for success for every restorative situation. When you’re busier in your practice, you’re happier. Learn about the dentistry you’re not currently doing in your practice, and how doing more of it can benefit you financially and professionally by adding more value to your practice.

Course Objectives: Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:• Use materials available today to their best advantages. These include

microfill, nanofill and microhybrid materials. Find out where each fits into the layering technique

• Make Class III, IV and V restorations totally “invisible”• Close diastemas• Make a direct-laminate veneer look like the real thing, not just a

plastic overlay• Create esthetic restorative orthodontic corrections• Restore mutilated dentitions• Use opaquers and mask unwanted color to create invisible restorations• Use tints to enhance color and translucency• Contour, characterize and finish final restorations to make them

believable• Properly polish restorations to acquire a long-lasting, easily

maintainable enamel-like luster• Create the most lifelike, esthetic and truly believable restorations

possible• Make invisible repairs of all kinds to resin, porcelain or metal • Accurately diagnose esthetic needs• Construct a philosophy of practice and communication that allows

the patient to understand and easily accept the proposed treatment plan.

Who Should Attend:This course has been designed for all members of the dental team who wish to improve their knowledge of restorative materials and techniques.

About the Presenter:Bud Mopper, DDS, MS, is an internationally renowned lecturer in esthetic dentistry with an emphasis on composite bonding using direct-application techniques. He is a fellow and founding member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, life member of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a fellow of the American

College of Dentistry. He co-authored “A Complete Guide to Dental Bonding,” which was the first definitive book for the dental profession describing bonding techniques. Dr. Mopper has written many articles for dental periodicals on direct resin bonding and has contributed to several dental textbooks. He has taught direct resin bonding on a continuing education level at more than 20 dental schools nationwide. He is director of education for the Center for Esthetic Excellence in Chicago and is co-founder and chairman of Cosmedent, Inc., where he is responsible for educational programs and product development.
