Most career sites are designed to reach people who already want to apply. Then, they are augmented with ads, job boards and social media for lead generation. By focusing on just the top and bottom of the funnel, most talent acquisition strategies amount to “make them aware of jobs and then let them apply.”
This strategy might work for entry-level jobs, but you aren’t going to hire your next Sales Director or VP of Operations from a tweet or a job board posting. You need to have engaging material at every stage, persuading passive candidates to become active and move them one step closer to applying.
