The main image is of a man holding a guitar and lookinglongingly into the distance. The majority of the image ismade up of the guitar, as it is an iconic image of countrymusic. The reason for the use of the guitar is to make thegenre of the magazine know after just once glance at thecover.

A technique that this magazine has used is little anchorage. This is to not drawaway any attention from the singer and his iconic guitar .

The colour scheme is bright and light colours. This showsit is a light hearted magazine. The yellow of the main titleis compliment by the light blue background. Also thelighting from the back of the image makes it look like theblue is the sky and the light is the sun.

To go with the light hearted theme, the image has a genuine smile that lights up the page. It lets you know that this magazine isn’t about a serious topic but something fun and entertaining.

The anchorage style used has kept to one side. This is to not take away any limelight from the main image herself as it is so happy and clean.

The fact that the name Elvis is not only in capitals but also above the main title shows that he is very important.

Even though Elvis has his back to the front, we still know who he is and what he does. The shows thathe has become very iconic to a genre, that we don’tneed to see a front view of him to know what thatgenre is.

The anchorage is minimal and is a maximum of 3 words a line. This gives the few wordsemphasis making the reader more excited to know what the magazine hold as the anchoragehas only given away little but attractive knowledge.

Target AudienceThe target audience for my magazine will be male and females between the ages of 15-60.This is because there are artists such as Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood that attract theyounger females, and then you have artists such as, Hank Snow, Dolly Parton and theDixie Chicks for the older audience.

People like Taylor Swift and Luke Bryan are bringing in a younger crowd but the olderaudience will always be supported as country music has been around for a long time.
