If so, the San Jacinto College maritime program offers professional mariners courses to earn U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) licenses and certifications. Courses are offered in deck and engineering operations for original or upgraded certificates and licenses for new entry-level mariners, as well as operational and management-level professionals. The San Jacinto College maritime program: Is guided and supported by an advisory committee of industry leaders with classroom and simulator experience, some of the nation’s most experienced professional mariners Features a new state-of-the-art Maritime Technology and Training Center on the Port of Houston. The facility houses multiple classrooms, engineering labs, and advanced navigation labs together with the industry’s newest interactive, full-mission ship, towboat, and tugboat simulators.
