Mariah Wilson, aka “Magic” is making her mark in entertainment as a triple-threat performer in Hollywood, as well as in academics with a high GPA. Moviegoers were abuzz about MARIAH WILSON’s performance in the multiple award winning blockbuster movie “DREAMGIRLS” as “Magic,” the daughter of “Effie” played by Oscar and Grammy winner, Jennifer Hudson, and is the first actress in the history of “Dreamgirls” (on Broadway) to portray this character. This pinnacle role landed her the spotlight alongside of Oscar winner, Jamie Foxx, Grammy winner, Beyonce Knowles and Golden Globe winners, Eddie Murphy and Danny Glover. Mariah has been featured on several film, television and commercial projects, most notably ABC’s Family “Lincoln Heights” as Rebecca Dashell. She played the characters Eltha in the independent film, “Afterschool” and Kimberly in the movie, “The Good Neighbor Policy.” Mariah continues making headlines being featured in the February 2008 Issue of Right-On Magazine, on the Tyra Banks Show, at the 38th Annual NAACP Images Awards, on the Ellen Show for the Billy Blanks, Jr. “Cardioke,” and performed for KPNX-TV 12 (NBC) in Phoenix Arizona. Off set, Mariah is in studio songwriting and recording original music for an upcoming debut album with a 2010 release, as well as performing for sporting and community events throughout Southern California; Girl Scouts “Girlfest,” “College Expo” (LA and Oakland Convention Center) “Rock & Romance” (Knitting Factory), “Red Karpet Jam” (Celebrity Centre), Mishon’s “16th Birthday Bash” (Crazy Horse), “African Market Place,” “Goin Green Festival,” Star Eco Station “African American Arts Festival,” the Los Angeles Black Business EXPO (BBX) “Teen Summit” and the Los Angeles Angels Baseball Game and LA Kids Marathon as the featured performer singing the National Anthem. She also performed her original music at the 5K LA Marathon Finshline Festival. With additional performances scheduled at Six-Flags Magic Mountain, Orange County Fair, LA County Fair and the American Family Expo; KIDSFAIRE. This Scottsdale, Arizona native who developed her talent; dancing at age two and acting/singing in children’s theatre at age four, also host an internet-based kids radio show “Making Magic” with Mariah Wilson on KWAV.Biz which features independent artist. Her dancing skills has awarded her regional and national recognition two consecutive years with her 2007 Cheer team (top 10 finisher) and 2008 Dance teams (5th place winner) at the nationally televised Pop Warner Cheer/Dance Competition at Walt Disney World - Orlando, Florida.
