Before the year begins…
Please make sure you…● Have read through our Student Handbook & Remote Learning Supplement
(available under “School Reopening”) - posted to the school website next week.
● Understand NYS quarantine regulations: ○ If you have traveled to any of the restricted states or anywhere
internationally, you must quarantine for 14 days before coming onto campus.
● Know the uniform options for September: ○ Gym t-shirt & shorts or summer uniform (NOT Dress Down/Tiger’s Den)
We are all socially responsible! We all need to do our part to keep our MRHS community safe.
Health & Safety● Face masks on in hallways & common areas; classrooms*
● Hand-sanitizing stations & in classrooms
● Hands-free, single-use restrooms
● Student desks wiped each period by students (non-bleach)
● Maintenance staff cleaning high-touch areas throughout the
day - further disinfection at night
● Isolation area if student/staff shows symptoms
Learning Models● FIVE days of live instruction!
● Hybrid Model ○ ½ of student body in school building; webcam in classrooms○ TWO Teams: A & B

Remote Learning Days: 9/16 - 9/18● Wednesday, 9/16 - Day 1: ○ Meeting teachers & classmates○ Becoming familiar with attendance and course expectations
● Thursday, 9/17 - Day 2:○ Grades 9 - 11: Remote Classes as scheduled○ Grade 12: Senior Class Ring Day*
● Friday, 9/18 - Day 3:○ First School Mass (Virtual) & shortened periods
● Purpose: To troubleshoot technical difficulties

Building Entry & Dismissal
● Before entering the building, you will have your temperature checked by a staff member and answer our Health Screening Questionnaire.
● Students and staff will use SchoolPass to complete the Health Screening Qs○ Either scan the QR code or have it checked by an administrator.
● Once in the building:○ Arrival prior to 7:30 am: Gymnasium
■ Pre-registration with Ms. Santo ■ Sign-up form is forthcoming.
○ After 7:30 am■ Homerooms or dining hall
Building Entry & Dismissal● Dismissal via PA System:
○ First: Students taking district buses or the Beeline Bus ○ Second: Remaining Students by grade level
■ Why? To avoid congestion in the hallways ○ Senior Class Early Dismissal: starts in October.○ Students must keep their masks on and exit the building
promptly.● After school hours - students needing to stay later for pickup
○ Pre-registration with Ms. Santo - Form is forthcoming.

Remote Learning Wednesdays
● Continue to follow:○ Hybrid Schedule as shown on the previous slide.○ Number day in school cycle.
● This is still a full class day.○ Attendance taken○ Teachers may use this day flexibly.○ Students must remain “in class” for the entire class period,
■ Lunch and quiet study periods excluded■ Electives will meet.
Dining Hall & Lunch Periods● Dining hall tables have been replaced with
individual desks.● Pre-order system
○ By Friday of the week prior, students can place their lunch orders and pay through the online system.
○ Daily meal delivery in individual containers, labeled with each student’s name and grade level
● No access to microwaves, toasters, or vending machines
● Just like in classes, students will be asked to wipe down their desktop surfaces at the end of the period, leaving it clean for the next student..

What if...● A student is sick with non-COVID related symptoms?
○ Well enough to attend from home? ■ Call main office to report remote learning because of illness
○ Unwell? Call main office to report absence.● A student presents with COVID-like symptoms before entering the
building○ Taken to isolation area○ Must be tested and medically cleared before returning to school
What if...● A student/staff member tests positive for COVID-19
○ We will contact the local Department of Health to receive further guidance.
○ We will move to remote learning for at least 24 hours while the building goes through a deep clean.
○ We will move to the fully remote schedule of classes to avoid any interruptions in classes.
ALL STARTS AT HOME: If a student is ill, do not send her to school.
(Call the main office and attend classes remotely, if well enough)

We’ve compiled a list of your questions from the Pre-Registration Form and have given our best answers based on our community’s needs and approved Reopening Plan.
We will email this document on Friday morning with the Team Assignments and post it to our school website.

School website and emailed.● Parent Acknowledgement Forms will be found at the
