Mother’s Day On behalf of the Tregeagle PS Team and our students, I would like to wish all of our wonderful Mum’s an amazing Mother’s Day for this Sunday 10 May! We hope you get thoroughly spoilt and we thank you for all that you do to support your children and our school.

Drop off & Pick up Arrangements

We ask that where possible, parents/carers please stay in their car at drop off time and let their child/ren out on the 'school side' of the car at the front gate. At home time, please pickup from the front gate of the school. Please remain in your car and a staff member will walk your child/ren out to your car. If your child is in a car or booster seat, you will need to fasten. School Gate - We ask that parents/carers do not gather around the school gates at pickup and drop of times. This is to maintain social distancing measures. Phase One A Managed Return to School - Start Week 3 (11 May 2020) Students are encouraged to attend school one day a week from Week 3 Term 2 (11 May) as per the Phase 1 Roster below. The Phase 1 Roster for Tregeagle PS families is as follows (If your surname/last name starts with): A-C – Monday D-J – Tuesday K-Q – Wednesday R-Z – Thursday Textbooks - We ask that all students who attend school for the day bring a tote or library bag with their textbooks in it for the day. They will then take these home with them in the afternoon. Devices - Students in classes 2/3B, 3/4/5A and 5/6B are able to bring in a device from home (laptop, iPad). Students must label their device and charger. Note: The device is the students responsibility. We ask that our parents respect the Phase 1 Roster and support the staff at Tregeagle PS in our social distancing efforts. You are encouraged to keep your child/ren home for the rest of the week wherever possible. Families who need to send their child/ren to school may continue to do so. Thank you for your support! One Unit of Work

Students learning either at home or in school will engage in a single unit of work provided by their teachers. Schools will plan and communicate time allocations for learning (see ‘Weekly Timetables’). The table below outlines the recommended time allocations for students participating in learning at school or at home. The time allocations are based on the NSW primary and secondary school syllabus requirements.

Cooler Weather The cooler weather has well and truly started. If attending school, please ensure that your child/ren have the correct school uniform jumpers and that they are labelled. It is often cold in the mornings at Tregeagle PS.

Drink Bottle

Our water bubblers are currently out of order due to hygiene reasons. Please ensure that you pack a labelled drink bottle every school day that your child/ren attends.

Daily Fitness

In Week 1 students were focusing on the skill of bouncing (right/left hand, high/low, around markers/self). In Week 2, students are focusing on the skill of throwing and passing (underarm, overarm, chest pass, short/long passes, passing on the run). It has been wonderful to see all students at home and school working on improving their movement skills with lots of practice. Well done!

ABC TV Education The NSW Department of Education has collaborated with ABC TV Education to plan a daily schedule of free to air educational programs, from Monday 27 April 2020 to Friday 8 May 2020. Programs can be accessed via the ABC TV Education broadcast on ABC ME (Channel 23) from 10am-3pm weekdays. Each day commences with programs suitable for lower primary students followed by upper primary and then secondary. These programs are complemented by student booklets to cover all school ages and a range of subjects. You can download these resources on the Learning from home hub.
