On Thursday, February 7th, the Emerge Owensboro Lead-ership class visited local legis-lators at the Capital in Frank-fort. This group of community leaders met with Representa-tive Tommy Thompson, Repre-sentative Jim Glenn and Sena-tor Joe Bowen to discuss what was happening in the General
Session and voice their opin-ions about what our commu-nity needs to move forward, most importantly, Interstate 67. The Emerge group then sat in on House and Senate sessions, hearing discussion of Senate Bill 2, dealing with pension reform, among other things.
