Mark Your Calendar LENTEN LUNCH SERIES ON THURSDAYS

The downtown churches of Meridian will once again offer a six-week Lenten Luncheon worship event that begins the fourth Thursday in February. The schedule is as follows:

FALL REGISTRATION: Fall registration is ongoing. Anyone interested in registering your child for the fall may contact Glenda Thomas, Director, at 601-693-0830 or 601-483-8502. Children must be 1 year old by September 1, 2020, to register. Classes serve one through four year olds. SCHOOL CLOSINGS: March 9-13 Spring Break April 10 & 13 Easter Holidays ST. JUDE FUNDRAISER: Fundraising for St. Jude Children’s Hospital will be the week of April 20-24. Anyone wishing to make a donation, may contact the school office. The Center will have a St. Jude parade on Friday, April 24. It will begin at 11:00 a.m. in front of the church and parade to 8th Street, turn left to 22nd Avenue and back to the church. Everyone is invited to come and watch! A good place to watch is on the front steps of the church. SUMMER PROGRAM | MMO | TUESDAY & THURSDAY Information about a summer program will be going out in April. If we have enough interest, we will provide two mornings a week for MOTHER’S MORNING OUT during the months of June and July. Anyone interested may contact Glenda Thomas at 601-693-0830 to get on a mailing list for the summer registration.

Central will be helping to pack food bags at the Wesley House on the first Monday of each month starting in March. If you are interested in helping with this outreach to our community, join us on the first Monday each month from 3 PM to 5 PM. Please see Rev. Matt Farmer or a member of the Missions Committee for more information.

June 27 - July 2 | Summer Mission Trip! Even though our trip to the Mississippi Delta to work with But God Ministries (Jonestown, MS) is not until June, registration is now open! We will be able to take a maximum of 16 girls and 16 boys along with 8 chaperones. To register, you must commit to the full length of the trip. After you register, a deposit of $50 is due.

Sanctuary Adult Choir

The choir is currently working on their Lenten and Easter music preparations! Please join us as we prepare for our Maundy Thursday presentation of “Colors of Grace” a Lenten musical, by Joseph Martin. We will also prepare special music for Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday!

April 8 is the final Wednesday evening rehearsal for Maundy Thursday and Easter. We will begin rehearsal at 7:00 PM and work until 8:30 PM with the instrumentalists. April 9, Maundy Thursday, we will have call time at 6:00 PM to do a quick run through. The service begins at 7:00 PM. April 12, Easter Sunday, we will do an extra rehearsal in the Sanctuary that morning from 10:15-10:45 for the music for that service.

Senior Adult Ministry March 19 and April 16 Every third Thursday we go out to dinner together at non-chain restaurants in the surrounding areas. April 25 | Vicksburg, MS Once a month, we go as a group to different destinations that can be visited and returned from in one day.

Every Friday Lunch Bunch meets at Central in the Adult Activities Room on the 3rd floor. Meal cost is $5.00.

March 3 and April 7 XYZ is held at Central on the first Tuesday of each month. Reservations are required. RSVP by the Monday before at noon [601-693-1521 or central@cumcmdn.org].
