A Message from Mrs. Perrault, Principal

March 5 – “For if, by the transgression of the one, death came to reign through that one, how much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of justification come to reign in life through the one Jesus Christ.” -Rm. 5:17

“Enter into your Lenten experience with the attitude of ‘abundance of grace’ and ‘the gift of justification.’ These are uplifting and encouraging phrases. Instead of muddling through Lent just to get through the drudgery of it all, remind yourself that it is a season of scarcity so that the abundance to follow will be all the more valuable, appreciated, and fulfilling. When we fast for a day, the next day’s first meal tastes all the more satiating, doesn’t it? When we refrain from a particular habit or behavior for a time, indulging once in a while makes us more grateful for the little blessings God gives us each day. Focus on abundance, not your lack. Dear families, Thank you for your cooperation with registration. We really appreciate you being timely this year to help us with making decisions for the 2020-2021 school year. As of today, we are looking at almost identical enrollment numbers as the 2019-2020 school year. This is very good news. We are so happy to have so many families returning. Martyr Mission is coming soon. This will be a beautiful evening filled with festivities and fun. The auction items are amazing, and wait until you see the class projects! We are grateful to all the parents who helped coordinate class projects this year. I also want to thank our Home and School who has agreed to sponsor a teacher table for the event. Church Tours On Tuesday afternoon the 8th grade students took the 2nd grade students on a “behind the scenes” church tour of St. Stephen the Martyr. The 8th grade students were instructed by Cathy Ashton, our Director of Evangeliza-tion and Catechesis, last Thursday afternoon and provided a written tour guide to use when taking the second graders through the church. The 2nd graders got to try on an altar serving robe, baptize a baby doll and receive an up close look at our altar and sacred vessels with our very own Pastor, Fr. Dave Belt. It was so wonderful to see the older students sharing teaching and sharing their faith with the younger students.

Dear Parents,

Prep's 2020 summer sports camps and enrichment classes are the answer to keeping boys and girls in kindergarten through 7th grade busy and engaged this summer.

SPORTS CAMPS & ENRICHMENT CLASSES

As you take a look at our list of camps and classes, you'll see that we've added new classes in band, robotics, and circuitry in addition to a variety of sports camps. All camps are led by Creighton Prep coaches, teachers, and students, and are held on our campus throughout the summer.

REGISTRATION & PAYMENT

When you're ready, you can register just one child or multiple children and pay once via PayPal or check. If you would like to redeem a camp gift certificate you received at a school fundraiser, please DO NOT pay for the camp. Instead, choose the "pay by check" option and bring the certificate on the first day of camp.

TAKE OUR SURVEY

This year, we'd like to round out our offerings and add even more opportunities appealing to a wide range of interests. If you don't see a particular subject area that would be of interest to your student, please take a minute and complete this survey. In March we'll notify families of the enrichment opportunities that we have added.

Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions. We look forward to seeing you and your children at Prep this summer.

Sincerely,

Olivia Poggenpohl

Director of Communications and Summer Enrichment
