THE ORDER OF MORNING WORSHIP FOURTH SUNDAY IN LENT

10:00 AM MARCH 22, 2020 THE FIRST NOTE OF THE PRELUDE begins our worship. Please use the prelude time to turn your attention to God’s presence and help. Nurturing our relationships and friendships in fellowship is essential to our life as a congregation, so please continue to do so following our time of worship. *Those who are able are invited to stand.

One: God is in the water that restores our soul.

ALL: And God is in the night when we lose our way.

O God who is greater than the most powerful forces in this world,

Leader: Let us confess our sins together.

People: Jesus of Nazareth, there are stories of you healing the blind all over

scripture. You were constantly opening people’s eyes. So today we

confess that we often choose to keep our eyes closed. We turn away

from injustice in our world, worried you might ask us to work for

change. We close our eyes to our privilege, because the truth is

uncomfortable. We avoid eye contact with those who are suffering to

avoid identifying with their pain. Forgive us for failing to be your

Church in the world . Guide us from the depths of our wilderness into

your light.

J.A.M (JESUS AND ME) SINGERS J.A.M. singers practice after

worship on the 2nd Sunday of each month and sing in worship on the 3rd Sunday, with a run-through practice before worship at 9:30 AM on the Sunday they sing.

For the Easter season, children are singing on Palm Sunday, April 5, with practice before worship. Bring your children to help celebrate this joyful time in our church year!

OGHS—OUR OFFERINGS AT WORK Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) is the emergency and refugee

program of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). It enables our congregations and mission partners to witness to the healing love of Christ through caring for communities adversely affected by crisis and catastrophic events.

Hurricane and Typhoon disbursement as of 9/1/19 was $950,000. The Refugee Ministry as of 9/1/19 disbursement was $271,420.

The mission of EPNHN is to serve families with children within the East Penn School District through multi-facetted short-term assistance and strategies in an effort

to facilitate healthy, independent living.

There are dozens of families our local community who are homeless or We can be neighbors who help our neighbors. We have a simple mission: to serve these

families through multi-faceted short-term assistance in order to help restore and sustain healthy, independent living. After an initial assessment to identify the needs of

a family, a family is welcomed into the temporary transitional housing and registered EPNHN.

help support the mission of East Penn Neighbors Helping Neighbors.

We are looking for volunteers to help support
