What happens when you call theNational Suicide Prevention Line?

Setting expectations may help people reach out for help. USA TODAY spoke with theLifeline's director John Draper and communications director Frances Gonzalez about what

happens when a person calls 800-273-TALK (8255).

The Brain's GPS System Holds CluesTo Schizophrenia And A Unifying Theory Of Mind

A new study out today in Neuron shows how a type of brain cell–VIP cells–affectsnavigation through our physical world as well as navigation through our memories. Thedelicate interplay between VIP cells and their neural cohorts may shine a spotlight on

serious neuropsychiatric disorders as well as a unifying theory of mind (how theexperience of your mental life corresponds to your brain activity).
