St. Mary Social Committee

St. Mary Church would like to start a Social Committee to help coordinate activities to engage all age groups and get them excited about our parish. We are open to ideas and need volunteers of all ages to make this happen. Think about events you have been to and wish St. Mary would do something like that. Call the parish office, 812-482-7041, if you would be interested in being on this committee. We would like to get coffee and donuts, movie nights, bus trips, Trunk or Treat, trivia night, senior card day, etc going at our parish but it will take a group of individuals to help. Please consider being a part of this committee.

Prayers and well wishes for:

Brian Schmitt and Gina Kiefer who will be married October 16 and Adam Hopf and Amber Jones who will be married October 23.

Please keep them in your prayers!

From the Desk of the Pastor

I am very sorry to announce to you, that Pat Gress, property manager, due to health reasons, as of October 1, 2021 has submitted his resignation to me. I have officially announced this resignation to the Parish Council on September 28. With undue praise and gratefulness to Pat, I am so very well pleased to Pat for all the guidance and help he has given me during my arrival in 2017, as Pastor even before Pat became the Property Manager. Obviously this position will be filled and I told the council I shall begin a process selection and keep the Council informed. Lastly, the best of health wishes to Pat, and my assurance of prayers and blessings are continually extend-ed to him. Regarding his membership on Parish Council, Pat felt that he should resign that position too, and so a new mem-ber of The Council will be made by parishioners. “Fr. Effie”
