Welcome

Dear GLR Members and special guests,

Welcome to the 2017 GLR Conference! We are excited to finally meet all of you in the wonderful city

of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We hope you take advantage of the many opportunities our beautiful city

has to offer, whether it is a tour at the Harley Davidson museum, a trip to one of our local

microbreweries, or taking a stroll along Lake Michigan. Your Wisconsin music therapists have been

planning this conference for over two years, and we can hardly believe it has finally arrived.

We extend a special thank you to our committee chairs, committee members, the GLR Executive

Board, our AMTA president, and our many speakers, performers, and exhibitors. Without each of you,

this conference would not be happening!

This conference was designed to motivate you to look deep inside yourselves to explore and discover

your greatest potential as an individual as well as a music therapist. We hope that each of you will

leave feeling energized and eager to apply all the valuable information that you have attained from

this time together. We hope you each enjoy the conference, and please stop any member of the

planning committees for assistance, feedback, or just to say hello.

Sincerely,

Erica Flores, Tamra Fricke, and Tom Brefka GLR 2017 Local Co-Chairs

which can be incorporated under a theme or unifying topic relating to the CBMT Board Certification Domains and results

in a total of at least three (3) contact hours in durations” (CBMT Recertification Manual, sixth edition). It is not the

responsibility of the provider nor the CBMT to place these events into umbrella groupings. Placing events in an umbrella
