A truly numinous encounter evokes…• Fear• Wonder • Curiosity• Awe

• Sheer horror

Codified paradigms are designed to prevent a person from having toexperience such liminality and fear and horror by providing “answers” which are typically wrong answers, but comforting, nonetheless.

But one’s sense-making engine/muscle cannot be nurtured or developed without those liminal experiences.
