In PE class on February 17th-19th our

students participated in a  "Dodge Heart

Disease" event to raise awareness for

heart disease and funds for the

American Heart Association . Altogether

students raised $1 ,680 .91 for the

American Heart Association .

I 'd also like to give a shout out to Mrs .

Miller 's 5th graders . They helped to

organize a food drive for the Colchester

Food Shelf the two weeks prior to break .

These students helped to count and

collect goods that each homeroom

brought in for the food drive .

Finally , we are looking forward to seeing

you at conferences on this March 2nd

and 3rd !

Respectfully ,

Our third, fourth, and fifth graders helped toraise awareness and funds for heart diseasethrough a "Dodge Heart Disease" event in PE. We also participated in a Food Drive during themonth of February. The non-perishible goods wecollected as a school went to the Colchester FoodShelf.

We encourage every MBS

community member to vote at the

Colchester High School on Tuesday,

March 3rd! You may vote between

7:00AM and 7:00 PM, which is

perfect if you have a conference

scheduled for March 3rd.

February provided the perfect weather to take MBS PE students snow shoeing!

Be sure to follow Mr. Kluk's Instagram @mrkspeworld to see more posts like

those above.

Huge thanks to the entire MBS community

for contributing to the Food Drive. Mrs.

Miller's 5th grade students made our

posters advertising the fundraiser, Mr.

Jacob's class made the most donations, and

our fantastic maintenance team brought all

of this food to the Colchester Food Bank.

Dodge Heart Disease Week at MBS was

a success! Together we raised over

$1,600 to donate to the American

Heart Association to combat heart

disease.
