Positioning – The Leafl side is designed to be used with RP80® 80mm and RP65® 65mm Round Downpipe and Rectangular (65mm x 50mm and 100mm x 50mm) Downpipe. When installing a Leafslide in a wet system ensure it is installed above the maximum level of the water tank.

• If the Leafslide is being connected to a tank, the tank must be at least 300mm lower than the spouting (fi g 1) and the Leafslide must be above the inlet to the tank.

• Less splashing is observed when a vertical drop of the downpipe running into the Leafslide is 1.5 metres or less.

• The downpipe should be mounted fl ush with the back wall of the Leafslide body.

• Consideration should always be given as to where debris is discharged, eg. pathways and decks.

Installation – To install the Leafslide, you will need

– Screwdriver and screws – Downpipe Adaptors (if not using RP80® 80mm round downpipe) – RA65.80,

MC19.80 or MC141.80 – Marley MCS® solvent cement – Hacksaw – Ladder

1. Position the downpipe into the top of the Leafslide body, so there is at least 10–15mm of downpipe inside the Leafslide inlet. The further into the Leafslide the downpipe sits the better, making sure not to wedge the downpipe against the screen making it diffi cult to take out and clean.

2. Cut the downpipe on an angle matching the angle of the Leafslide screen to reduce splash–back and improve fl ow.

3. Screw the Leafslide to the wall or fascia using the screw holes at the back of the Leafslide body. The Leafslide may need spacers between the wall and the Leafslide depending on the type of wall and downpipe brackets.

4. The outlet of the Leafslide can be connected to RP80® 80mm round downpipe using Marley Solvent Cement (MCS), follow the Marley Solvent Cement Instructions in the Rainwater Installation Guide available at www.marley.co.nz. Use an adapter to connect to other size downpipes.

Maintenance – Routinely wash the fi lter screen, by lifting it out of the body and cleaning it. For an optimum performance of your leafslide, check regularly that there is no debris on the screen blocking the fl ow.

Product Guarantee – Screen: 5 years when adequately maintained. Body: 15 years.

The Marley Leafslide® works as a debris diverter and water fi lter for new or existing downpipes. Designed for small to medium sized homes experiencing average rainfall, it helps to stop leaves and other debris from entering into your tank or stormwater. The Leafslide is manufactured from UV stabilised PVC using a stainless steel mesh screen, it ensures over 95% of water is captured whilst diverting leaves and debris.

Accessories Sold Separately Insect-proof Leafslide Screen Sold separately for use where additional protection required against insects. NB. Finer mesh reduces fl ow capacity.

Replacement Leafslide Screen Standard mesh included with Marley Leafslide®. Also sold separately as replacement screen.
