Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

• ACMA uses GIS software from MapInfo to map:– the locations of transmission devices

– boundaries of spectrum or broadcast planning areas

– the locations of interference complainants

– mobile phone coverage and “black spots”

– availability of broadband infrastructure
