Standard Bender for 2 and 3 pt. Rule.

The Helmold Standard Bender is practically in use wherever steel rule dies

are made. It uses interchangeable male and female dies to form rule into the

desired shapes without disturbing bends previously made.

The Helmold Standard Bender is equipped with an adjustable stop that can be set

in an instant, limiting movement of the dies and enabling the user to readily make

duplicate symmetrical bends. An adjustable gauge is also included that can be used

on either side of the bender for locating the position of rule relative to the dies.

This is an excellent starter tool for making simple bends; and a great second machinefor simple set bending operations. If your die room does “production set bending”

where two machines are needed to make a shape, this machine is a good choice to

back up a Bender Bendall. The Standard Bender is designed for use with rule up to 1”

in height. Shipping weight is 65 lbs.

The Standard Notcher for 2 pt. Rule

The Helmold Standard Notcher is used for notching or bridging rule. Having this

notcher handy in your die rooms will save you valuable time again and again.

The Standard Notcher is equipped with an adjustable link that allows male knives to

be re-set and adjusted after sharpening.

Standard notch sizes for this tool are 1/4” x 5/8,” and 5/16” x 3/4”.

Special sizes can be made to order. This is an excellent starter tool for any die

room; and a great second machine when you have to notch large quantities of rule at

a time. The Standard Notcher is designed to easily notch 2 pt. rule and can also notch

The only moving parts on a cutting dieare the ejection materials.

As with any moving mechanical or compressiblepart, there is a maximum functional range of motion.

Once that range is exceeded, the item no longerfunctions properly, which will lead to failure.

The chart above shows the maximum funtionalrange of motion in green for each product. Once thefunctional range is exceeded it enters the yellowdensifcation point where the rubber becomes asolid, and can no longer compress. Go beyond thispoint and the rubber will fail and break apart. For theejection rubber to work properly, it must remain withinthe green functional range of motion.
