    Wast e, drainage, at mospheric emissions and pollut ion in general areenvironmental aspects.

    It is vital to control them so as to prevent negative impacts on the

    environment.

    DRAINAGE AND EMISSIONS1.Avoid as much as possible drainage of material to the waterways. Protect waterways frompollution.

    2.Keep fuel and chemical containers firmly closed.3.Avoid oil, fuel, anti-freeze, solvent, paint or hazardous material in general being spilt.4.Avoid water leaks, advising maintenance at once if detected5.Do not dispose of toxic material in the drains.6.Keep vehicles and machinery switched off when their running is not necessary. This willavoid polluting emissions and noise.

    2BTRANSPORT AND FUEL

    1.Pay special attention to vehicle consumption.

    2.Drive at a moderate speed, respecting the highway code.

    3.Drive carefully and safely, trying to drive with the engine at low revolutions, using the

    highest possible gear.

    4.Reduce unnecessary stops with the engine running to as few as possible.

    5.Control the proper condition and pressure of the tyres.

    6.Periodically check the vehicles condition, comply with the legal inspections (MOT) and

    advise the managers of any shortcomings

    3BHAZARDOUS WASTE

    1.Waste of hazardous products and their containers is hazardous waste.

    2.Used oil, absorbents, batteries, and fluorescent lights are hazardous waste.

    3.Do not mix hazardous waste with urban waste or inert waste.

    4.Deposit each hazardous waste in its container, Containers will be labelled to identify them.

    Read the label carefully before inserting the waste.

    5.Place the hazardous liquid waste in a safety containment vessel.

    4BHANDLING HAZARDOUS PRODUCTS

    1.Read the label carefully before using the product.

    2.The safety sheets must be available where the products are used.

    3.You must be able to recognise the risk pictograms.

    4.Respect incompatibilities between products as shown in the following table

    5.Keep the containers closed whenever possible.

    6.Avoid spillages of chemicals and fuel.

    7.Where liquids are transferred, the ground must be protected with absorbent inert material.

    8.Contaminated absorbent is hazardous waste. Put it in the corresponding container.

    9.Do not smoke, use naked lights or eat near the storage area and/or near work with hazardous

    material.

    5BTHE FOLOWING REQUIREMENTS ARE APPLICABLE TO ALL PERSONS WORKING FOR TRAIGLEFER,

    S.L. WHILE CARRYING OUT THEIR WORK.

    Know and assume as your own the commitments and principles of action set up in the Integrated

    Quality and Environment Policy of TRAIGLEFER, S.L..

    Comply with the procedures or requirements of the Integrated Management System that may be

    applicable and which will be communicated to you in that case.

    Minimise as far as possible the environmental impact of activities and services by optimising the

    use of resources and properly managing waste.

    Advise your line manager of any environmental incident occurring in performing your activity.

    6BWHAT MORE CAN I DO?

    Any information relevant to improving the environmental performance of TRAIGLEFER, S.L.,

    including possible incidents or customer complaints, must be advised immediately to your

    immediate manager.
