Congratulations to all of you on another successful academic year! The university
could not do what it does without you. This is a group effort and you all make
Mansfield University a great team!
Thank you to Interim President Pete Fackler! It has been a good year at
Mansfield and we wish you nothing but the best in your next position!
Welcome to Dr. Charles Patterson as the next President of Mansfield University!
Let us work together to make MU a student success story.
Welcome to all of the new members of APSCUF! We are here to serve you, so do
not hesitate to e-mail or just drop by the office in Memorial Hall. It is easy to get
involved and we are always looking for new (and old) volunteers.
Well done to the members of the APSCUF Executive Committee! This was so
much fun, let’s do it again next year…
Finally, thank you all for putting up with me. Hope to see you in August!

Time is running out for APSCUF members to take advantage of the lower health insurance premium share outlined in the CBA. To qualify, you and your enrolled spouse/domestic partner must register for a Sharecare account and take the RealAge® Test prior to May 31, 2019. The new and higher premiums go into effect July 1, 2019.
Create your account at http://mycare.sharecare.com. Remember to enter the PASSHE employee’s Highmark ID number when you first create your account. This is the step that ties your activity to your insurance.
Once the test is completed, you should see your points by clicking on the ACHIEVE icon, and then REWARDS.
To ensure that there are no issues with your activity (or your spouse/domestic partner), we recom-mend not waiting until May 31st to complete this task.
Additional information may be found at the Healthy U home page—

ATTN: Part-time Faculty
APSCUF recently came across yet another change with the PA Health& Welfare Fund, but I think most people will
welcome this one. It appears that benefits for part-time faculty improved slightly when The Fund transitioned.
For vision, the new Summary of Benefits is Attached. How awesome that we now have a benefit summary for FT
employees and PT employees!
As for dental, check out the information from the Trustees of The Fund below: The verbiage re: eligibility is also
included.
“For dental, the benefits provided to PT members are the same as those provided to FT members—The only
difference is who is eligible (i.e. member only, or member+spouse) - children are not eligible. See descrip-
tion below from the eligibility rules. The same UCCI dental benefit schedule would apply,”
For more information and summary on all benefits and coverage, go to https://www.apscuf.org/members/
forms-benefits/
If you never enrolled with the PA Faculty Health & Welfare Fund, and you do qualify for part-time benefits,
please contact Linda Smith in the APSCUF office ext. 4919 for an enrollment card.
