I. Our Story until now

a. The World - Hong Kong

In March 2013 according to United States Census Bureau, more than 7 Billion People have

lived on the planet Earth. Since the year 1350 the world population has constantly seen

growth with the highest increase being in the 1950s by about 1.8% per year. There are

different predictions on how it will go on, some say up to 10.5 billion by 2050, some

afterwards predict further growth, decline, stagnation. Every development is possible.

Poverty is spreading around the world, 21.000 children according to UNICEF die per day

from hunger alone, for example in 20116.9 million under 5 years age died. At the same time

we are suffering from dozens of other global issues, such as Pollution, natural

catastrophies, Warfare in Africa and the Middle East and other Continents, capital is

transferred digitally in “real time” around the world, with very few “real value” behind it and

so on and so on. One Quarter of the world population is 0 – 15 years old, almost 2/3 of it

live in Asia, 2.5 Billion in China and India alone. Seven Billion Stories are being told right

now, seven Billion people who smile having nothing and who are sad not having the newest

technological gadgets. This environment is ours and we all together have to act now.

One Thousandth of the world population, 7 million, live and work and love in the city of

Hong Kong. Every day what people do in Hong Kong move the stock and trade markets of

the world. We are blessed to have the top or among the top ratings of our Education and

Health and other Infrastructure. Pushed by The Hong Kong Spirit, our ability to achieve

regardless of the external environment and relationships to Japan, UK, China we have

been facing, the city of Hong Kong is now the city to close the gap between the west and

the east, the city for the exchange of cultures, ideas, people, and knowledge and

experience. Hong Kong is already a truly global city, making it at the same time easier and

more difficult for AIESEC to create leaders. It makes it easier because the infrastructure

plays in our hands and more difficult because the internationalization of talent and ideas is

already covered by many competitors and competitors directly.

b. AIESEC Hong Kong

AIESEC in Hong Kong is a relative small entity, 45 years of age having created about 200

Exchange Experiences, with a high contribution to international GCDP projects and GIP

positions and to conferences and with a broad offer of high quality internships. What I see

as key opportunity for AIESEC Hong Kong on the way to the achievement of the AIESEC

2015 Vision and also in the year afterwards until 2015 are three main points: Positioning

and Product Development for OGX and IGIP, creating a collaborative efficient working

environment within our LCs as well as with key partner entities, and, finally, creating the

positive long -term impact on Hong Kong Society

c. Development of Vision Statement

Within my Manifest for the future direction, I am definitely not able to give the perfect

solution that AIESEC HK should take within the next years. I am only able to give the way if

I was elected in 13.14 Term I would take together with AIESEC HK in order to find out what

shall be our solution, all together. This is my leadership style, service orientated,

collaborative and integrating, this is the leadership I see AIESEC HK needs. I have picked a

mid – term perspective, realistically the next two years until 2015.

II. My Vision Statement for AIESEC Hong Kong until 2015

a. Vision, Mission, Values and Strategies for AIESEC Hong Kong

Vision: With our attractive why - based Branding and Promotion of our GCDP and GIP,

TMP and TLP Products and selling those with the help of our partners we attract the biggest

hearts and talents of Hong Kong. With our co – operation strategy we are highly efficient to

source them to their positions abroad later on. We have noticed recent failures especially in

Financial Branch in Hong Kong and elsewhere and we in AIESEC create responsible

Leaders to help Hong Kong’s economy get back to its sustainable path. By creating an

environment of physical and virtual collaboration in Hong Kong, we achieve that our entities

grow together and profit from each other’s experiences and knowledge and resources. By

engaging the Youth and our Partners in Hong Kong by our Conferences and Seminars we

create the Global Learning Environment and awake on a very high scale Entrepreneurial

Outlook and Social Responsibility within our Youth. AIESEC HK is the Global Youth Voice

and the Voice of the Youth of Hong Kong. AIESEC HK is the first choice for international

internships and AIESEC Hong Kong creates positive impact on Hong Kong’s Society.

Mission: AIESEC HK every day is a transparent organization to its partners. Every day its

members work very hard to achieve our goals and combine AIESEC with our private lives.

AIESEC Hong Kong exists only because of every member, leader and our partners, and we

are aware of this and try to over – satisfy all of them. We are a pro – active and flexible

Organization, offering the daily education our Universities cannot give, led by

Entrepreneurial Leaders, and generating more of such Leaders is what we strive for.

Values: Hong Kong Spirit, Entrepreneurialism, Collaboration, Professionalism, Being

Educators

Strategies: Our Key Strategies for 2013 – 2015 will mean

All Areas: MC as Service Provider for Education, virtually and physically, to have more

mandatory Events to attend (for example before EB Elections) to make sure the people are

educated for the challenges they are facing
