Dear Parents and Carers

It’s been a busy week in school. The Reception classes held their first Inspire

Cross-Country Update

Last Thursday children from Year 4 and 5 took part in the

second cross-country race of the season at Bishop Vesey

School. With the Year 6’s away on residential, there were

some new faces in the team competing in their first races.

The boy’s race went off first, and Zak Tisdale put in a great

performance again, coming in 1st place out of over 100

runners. That is now two individual victories in a row. He

was followed in by Dylan Geddes (5th) and supported well by

Lewis Gibbons, Joe Richards, Ramy Falah, Joe Lowe and Joel

Lumb. This resulted in a team finish of 7th place following on

from our 1st place in the opening race.

The girl’s race went off shortly after, and the team of Ellie

Hanlon, Ruby Jefferson, Rebecca Bye, Amelia Moors, Lily

Thacker and Emily Ralph all performed well and contributed

to an overall team position of 12th place out of 17 schools

participating. This matched their 12th place in the first race.

There is now a break in the races until the new year. We will

go into the second half of the season with a real chance of

some team and individual success. Well done to all involved

with races, and to those who come along to club to compete,

and to enjoy developing their health and fitness levels.

Mr Wigley

Lunchtime Supervisor vacancy

We currently have a vacancy for a Lunchtime

Supervisor. The role fits very well with those

who enjoy working with children and would like

to work for a few hours during the school day.
