M A N D U R A HWestern Australia’s largest and fastest growing regional city, set against a backdrop of magnificent beaches and an estuary twice the size of Sydney Harbour, is the ultimate aquatic playground. The city and surrounding superb natural assets are complemented by award-winning waterfront dining, world-class golf courses and plenty of places to shop.
S H O P P I N GDiscover the perfect holiday memento at Mandurah’s array of boutique stores and galleries with unique treasures, locally made souvenirs and works from local artists. There are Sunday markets too selling locally crafted and handmade products.
If retail therapy is what you are after, the city’s premium shopping destination, Mandurah Forum is currently going through a complete transformation and once complete in early 2018 it will include a premium and three discount department stores, two supermarkets and over 200 specialty retailers. While in the city centre, wander the open air mall for fashion boutiques and other retail outlets.
B E PA M P E R E DThe natural beauty and fresh coastal air make Mandurah the perfect place for people seeking health and wellbeing. Be pampered at one of its health spas or wellness clinics.
W H E R E T O E AT & D R I N KRestaurants, ice creameries, take away outlets, bars and cafés abound in Mandurah. If you’re after seafood, Italian, Asian, Mexican or any other style of food, you’ll find it here.
The many waterfront cafés and restaurants that line the Mandurah Foreshore and Mandurah Ocean Marina are a particularly special spot to relax over a meal and watch the dolphins play nearby. For food straight from the source, each Sunday local grown produce is sold at the Boardwalk Farmer’s market on Mandjar Square.
For something new, from early 2018, Mandurah Forum will include an alfresco casual dining precinct with a water oasis, indoor and outdoor cafés and restaurants.
The delightful cafés, trendy small bars and friendly pubs available in the city are the perfect places to relax over coffee, a tasty meal or enjoy a wine, beer or cocktail at the end of the day.
W H E R E T O S TAYMandurah has a range of accommodation options suitable for every traveller, from backpackers, caravan parks, bed & breakfasts, self-contained apartments, holiday homes, hotels and resorts. For something truly special you can even hire a houseboat to cruise the waterways in your own floating house. Mandurah is one of the few places in Western Australia, and the closest to Perth, that they are available for hire.
To book go to visitpeel.com.au or contact the Mandurah Visitor Centre.
