:: ANNEXURE - IV ..
Details of CET, GD, PI, Distribution of Total Marks and GD-PI, Undertaking etc
The Agency to administer CET, GD AND PIThe CET, GD and PI would be administered by the Competent Authority, on its own or in collaboration with or through aprofessional agency with proven record of its competence and experience in such process of personnel selection throughcompetitive examinations.
The MAH MBA/MMS-CET 2009 :
The question paper for the CET will be set in English only. Translations in any languages will not be available.
The CET would be of 21/2 (Two and half) hours duration and would have a maximum of 200 marks.
The CET would be held onSunday, 15/02/2009 at 2.00 P.M.
The CET would have multiple choice objective type questions.
The CET would not have negative marking.
There will be no verification of marks or revaluation of answer sheets of the CET
The marks at the CET would be considered for admission during the current academic year only and would notbe allowed to be carried forward to the next year.
The detailed information and the instructions about the CET and a few sample questions illustrating the nature,variety, scope, pattern, type of questions that will be set for the CET are given in Annexure VIII and Sampleanswer sheet (filled up) and (Blank) is given in Annexure IX.
The cities in which CET-2009 is conducted are designated as centre for the CET. Each centre will have severalvenues depending upon the number of candidate due to appear at that centre. A candidate applying for the CETwould have the freedom to choose his/her centre but shall not have freedom to choose the venue.
The venues allotted to the various candidates appearing for the CET would be displayed on web site www.dte.org.in/mba under the heading 'MBA/MMS-CET 2009 Examination venue'
The GD AND PI :
The batch number, date, time and venue for the GD and PI will be indicated on the call letter for GD and PI.
Each of the candidates applying for the CET will have to choose his/her choice of city for the GD and PI.

HSSCE and SSCE respectively denote the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination and the SecondarySchool Certificate Examination of any of the Divisional Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.

Annexure 8- from MHCET/2009-10 Brochure:: Eligibility Criteria ..
2.0 Eligibility Criteria
2.1 Basic Qualification
In order to secure admission to first year of two-year full time MBA/MMS/PGDBM/PGDBA course, the candidate should
fulfill the following eligibility criteria
Passed with minimum of 45% marks in aggregate* ( 40% in case of candidates of backward class categories belongingto Maharashtra State only) in any Bachelors degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognised by the
Association of Indian UniversitiesOR
Appeared** for the final year examination of any Bachelors degree of minimum three years duration in any disciplinerecognised by the Association of Indian Universities. Such candidates can be considered for provisional admissionsubject to passing the Degree exam with minimum of 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of candidates of backwardclass categories belonging to Maharashtra State only).OR
Passed with any Bachelors degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognised by the Association of
Indian Universities AND passed in any Post Graduate degree course of minimum two years duration recognized by theAssociation of Indian Universities in any discipline with minimum 45% marks in aggregate* ( 40% in case ocandidates of backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra State only)OR
Passed with any Bachelors degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognised by the Association ofIndian Universities AND Appeared** for the final year examination of any Post Graduate degree of minimum twoyears duration in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities. Such candidates can beconsidered for provisional admission subject to passing the Post Graduate Degree exam with minimum of 45% marks inaggregate (40% in case of candidates of backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra State only)
NOTE : Candidate is advised to ensure before applying for the CET and the admission to the MBA/MMS/PGDBM/PGDBAprogramme in a particular University that he/she is eligible for admission to the programme as per the relevant EligibilityRules of that University. Generally candidates passing qualifying degree examination by part time or bycorrespondence course or passing in more than one sitting are not considered eligible by severaUniversities.
2.2 Eligibility Criteria for admission to Maharashtra State candidates (Type A-E)(Refer rule no. 3.1 for the definition of Type of candidature for Maharashtra State Candidates)
1. Candidate should be an Indian National and should possess basic qualification as specified in rule no. 2.1.2. Scored 30 or more marks in the MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2009 and appeared for the GD & PI conducted by the
Competent Authority of the Maharashtra State for the academic year 2009-2010.
2.3 Eligibility@ Criteria for admission under All India Seats
2.3.1 For Maharashtra State Candidates
1. Candidate should be an Indian National and should possess basic qualification as specified in rule no. 2.1.2. Appeared for CAT(conducted by IIMs)/JMET(conducted by IITs)/ MAT(conducted by AIMA in February 2009)/
ATMA(conducted by AIMS)/ XAT(conducted by XLRI) for seeking admission to MBA/MMS in the academic yea2009-10. Such candidates# are required to appear for GD/PI conducted by the Competent Authorityof Maharashtra State for academic year 2009-10.

Candidates seeking admission against the Minority Seats in Minority Institutes will have to fulfill any additiona
eligibility criterions as specified in the Government Resolution and its amendments which may be published fromtime to time.
GENERAL NOTES :
1. Candidates securing less than 30 marks in MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2009 and its equivalent score inGMAT/CAT/JMET/MAT (conducted in February 2009) /ATMA/ XAT/ Association CET/Any other equivalent CET wilnot be eligible to get admission to MBA/MMS/PGDBM/PGDBA course in the State of Maharashtra.
2. Eligible NRI candidates may be offered admission against the Institute Level Seats in Unaided Institutes. Fordetailed guidelines of Admission Process please refer Annexure III.
3. Details regarding MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2009, the GD &PI conducted by the Competent Authority of the State oMaharashtra are given in Annexure -IV. AnnexureIV also gives distribution of marks (CET-200 marks + (GD, PIPAR, WE)- 40 marks i.e. Total 240 marks).
4. Candidates who remain absent for either the GD or the PI shall be treated as not eligible candidate
for the admission and result of such candidates will not be declared and score card will not beissued i.e. it is mandatory for eligible candidate to attend both the GD and PI without fail.
5. Any other combinations of Common Entrance Tests and GD,PI which is not specified in rules 2.2. to 2.6 shall beconsidered as INVALID for the purpose of admissions.
6. Candidates who are appearing for MAT (conducted by AIMA) should note that the score of the MATexam conducted in February 2009 alone shall be considered valid and will be accepted for thepurpose of preparing merit list and admissions to MBA/MMS/PGDBM course.
7. *Aggregate marks means the grand total of marks obtained by the candidate in subjects based on which theclass declaration is made in the particular University from which the candidate is passing the qualifyingexamination.
8. **Candidates appeared for final year examination fulfilling the remaining eligibility criteria will be offeredprovisional admission subject to the condition that they will pass the examination with the required percentageof marks on or before 25th September 2009. In case, the candidate fails to produce the results of the finayear examination on or before 30th September 2009, then admission offered to such candidate automatically
cancelled and the fees (tuition, development and other fees) paid by the candidate of the academic year 2009-10 will be forfeited.
9. Candidates aspiring to seek admission to the MBA/MMS/PGDBM/PGDBA courses should follow the instructionsgiven inAnnexure-I for filling up On-line Application form(s), appearing for CET-2009, appearing for GD & PI,Registration for CAP and filling up the option form etc.
