improvements • Academic Calendar is made for each semester with fu ll involvement of
teaching faculty. • Every year, seminars / conferences are arranged on Emerging
Technologies using organizational skills of teachin g faculty and the students.
• In every semester, student feedback is taken (Profo rma attached at Annexure -2).
• Suggestions box is placed in every Department. • Students also send e-mail to Principal / General Se cretary informing
their problems and indicate the kind of improvement s required. • Tutorial and laboratory groups of 15-20 students ha ve been made for
more effective interaction between teachers and the students. • Several teachers have been included as members of v arious
committees such as proctorial board, library commit tee, purchase committee, sports committee, cultural committee etc . (List attached Annexure-3)
� Mechanism/Norms & Procedure for democratic/good Governance
• JMIT believes in participatory management and exper iment in democratic living.
• Periodic feedback from the students is obtained and analyzed at the Senior Level.
• The feedback is not a parameter for any punitive ac tion, but only for remedial measures.
• Periodic meetings are held at department level with the teaching / non-teaching staff, at Principal’s level / General Secr etary’s level with Chairpersons/HODs to discuss various issues and evo lve a consensus before implementing new systems or before modifying existing systems and procedures.

� Student Feedback on Institutional Governance/faculty performance • In every semester, student feedback is taken • Suggestions regarding quality of teaching being rec eived are invited
with the objective to improve performance of facult y. • Suggestions are also invited from the students and teaching / non –
teaching staff for improving the Institutional Gove rnance. � Grievance redressal mechanism for faculty, staff and students
• Service Rules have been framed and are in use conce rning service conditions of the teaching and non-teaching staff ( See Annexure – 4).
• Discipline rules, library rules, hostel rules have also been framed for the students and have been implemented.
• A system has been established for attending to grie vances of the students, staff and the teaching faculty, which are received through proper channel with a view to keep every one motivated and satisfi ed.

The admissions are made on merit basis of the rank holders(in CEET/AIEEE as applicable) by the Admission Committees, Govt. o f Haryana under All India and State quota seats.
2. Admission to Management Quota Seats. The admissions are made by the Management to the 1 st year on merit basis of the ranks holders in order of preference, i.e., 1st AIEEE, 2nd CEET and 3 rd qualifying examinations.

Extra Curriculum Activities
At JMIT apart from development of technical graduat es, we have taken many initiatives which contribute to the overall develop ment of society & students. A few activities undertaken in this direction are as under.
1. JMIT has full fledged NSS unit where volunteers regularly organize literacy camps, plantation drive, street plays, cleanliness drives, celebration of Important national days etc.
2. NCC : A senior division sub unit of NCC was allo tted to Seth Jai Parkash
Mukand Lal Inst. of Engg. & Tech. (JMIT), Radaur in September 2004 on self-financing basis. The unit is attached to 14 Haryana Battalion NCC, Sarojini Colony, Yamuna Nagar. The unit at present has a str ength of 54 cadets. The unit started functioning from Oct. 19, 2004.
3. Blood Donation Mela : As a service to the mankin d & for a humble cause of
humanitarianism JMIT organizes blood donation mela every year on 19 th Nov.. Students and teachers from all braches participate with great enthusiasm and donate blood.
4. Medical Camp : We regularly organize medical cam ps for the poor villagers
free cost for their upliftment in the college and n ear by villages.
5. Contribution to disaster management funding. The management, faculty, staff and students of the college regularly contribute fi nancially for affected brethren affected by natural calamities such as ear thquakes, sunamy & other disasters.
6. Functional Literacy Programme : JMIT has collabo rated with M/s Tata
Consultancy Services New Delhi (TCS) for the implem entation of Adult Literacy Programme (ALP). The software is developed by TCS f or imparting functional literacy to uneducated poor & down trodden adult me mbers of the society in Radaur Tehsil. Free software was provided by M/s. TCS, where as, infrastructure including class rooms, Two Computers , white/black boards, writing notepads pencils etc. along with refreshmen t is being provided by JMIT free of cost. The programme is in the 2 nd year of its running.
Soft Skill Development Computer and IT departments of JMIT Facilities periodically arrange training programmes for
teaching & non-teaching staff to improve their soft skills in Computer & Internet Application . Number of Classrooms and size of each 31 nos. each of 98 sq.m. Number of Tutorial rooms and size of each 25 nos. each of 57 sq.m. Number of laboratories and size of each 52 nos. (Total area 7052 sq.m.) List of typical research projects. This is the first year of M.Tech. programme. It is proposed that emphasis for research will be given in the area of: • Network Security • Mobile Computing

However for the purpose of students this will be ef fective only after one year when the present students come to the second y ear i.e. 4 th semester.
• Industry Linkage To improve productivity, matching the skills of you ng engineers with the industry requirement and to develop such attributes , need of the hour is to mould the technical education with industry orienta tion. In view of that JMIT has a fully operational entrep reneurship development and Training & Placement Cells. Following are a few of the activities under taken i n JMIT for developing a functional & healthy linkage with Industry. 1. We arrange industrial training for students and identify student
project work in industry. We encourage industry to collaborate in industry study tour programmes and placement of stu dents.
2. We interact with R&D organizations for conductin g joint research work involving faculty/scientists and students/rese arch scholars etc.
3. Getting professionals from industry as visiting faculty or appoint professors for short or long periods & work on proj ects in industry.
4. Personality development workshops for students r elated with soft skills (communication skills/personality developmen t).
5. Arrange technical festivals/open houses/students design competitions.
