TIME IS LIMITED.
"As long as it is day, we must do the

GOD CALLS US TO USE
TIME WISELY,AS GOODSTEWARDS.
"Be careful then, how you live - not as
unwise but as wise, making the most
of every opportunity, because the days
are evil. (Eph. 5:15,16)

REFLECTION
In the middle of a hectic schedule we
need to stop and ask ourselves:
- Must I really do all I have scheduled in
the allotted time?
- Does God want me to do all I'm trying todo?
- What are my priorities?

GOD EQUIPS US TO DO WHATHE HAS ASSIGNED US TO DO.
We have different gifts, according to thegrace given us. (Romans 12:6)

CHRIST ADVOCATES
THINKING AHEAD.
Suppose one of you wants to build a
tower. Will he not first sit down and
estimate the cost to see if he has
enough money to complete it?
(Luke 14: 28)

WE NEED TO USE OUR TIME
EFFICIENTLYANDEFFECTIVELY.
Peter Drucker defines efficiency as "doing
things right" and effectiveness as "doing the
right things.
John Maxwell: "Efficiency is the foundationfor survival. Effectiveness is the foundation
for success."

REFLECTION:
What is one activity that you know, if
you did superbly well and consistently,
would have significant positive results
in your personal life? In your ministry?
If you know these things would make
such a significant difference, why are
you not doing them now?

TIME MANAGEMENT THAT LEADS
TO EFFECTIVE LIFE LEADERSHIP
IS KNOWING AND DOING WHAT ISMOST IMPORTANT IN OUR LIVES -
PUTTING THE "BEST" THINGS
FIRST.
8/8/2019 Managing the Clock
19/48
Most of the time the issue is
not between "good" and
"bad" choices but between" good" and" best." The
enemy of the" best" is often
the" good."

Two main factors whichgovern our use of time:
URGENCY: immediate action andattention
IMPORTANCE: long-term results

GRID I consists of things that have high
importance and high urgency - thingswhich deal with significant results and
call for immediate action.
GRID II consists of highly important but
low urgency activities.
8/8/2019 Managing the Clock
23/48
GRID III consists of highly urgentthings of low importance.
GRID IV consists of things which are
low in both importance and urgency.

Grid Activity
On a clean sheet of paper, make 3columns. On the first column, write down
the hours of the day from 6A.M to 10 P.M
On the second column, beside each hour, write down the activity you engaged in. On
the third column, write down whether those
activities are Grid I, 11, 111 or IV. This will
give you a rough basis for how you spendyour time according to the time
management grid

God has given each of us a unique
personal mission. He has called each of
us to be a unique person in His image and
to specifically accomplish certain things in
the light of the strengths and opportunitiesHe has given us. If we have determined
our personal mission, we can use this as a
gauge to determine which activities areconsistent with our life mission and goals.

V. CONCLUSION
What we've presented here is not just a time management tool,
but a way of thinking- a way of thinking not just for managingtime but, more importantly, for leading our lives. You can use
other tools and forms that suit your style and preference but
still reflects this way of thinking. However, the tool must be
consistent with the principles presented here. The greatest
value of the Grid II process is not what it does to your schedule but what it does to your thinking, because once you
begin to think in terms of importance, you begin to see time
differently. Our hope is that you can stop at the end of the day,
at the end of the week or year and even at the end of your life
and say just like Jesus said to the Father,
"1 have completed the work You gave me to do. "
