Assignment Question:

Malaysia Airlines (MAS) is the national airline company of Malaysia. It was an ailing organization as a result of various internal and external factors as well as lack of good management. Since 2014, MAS has undergone a huge turnaround process in order to save the organization from cessation. As part of the turnaround process, massive restructuring efforts are being carried out to improve operations at all levels in the organization. You have been appointed as the new Manager of Human Resources in MAS. As part of your efforts in restructuring human capital within the organization you are required to write a report on the following matters:

1) You are required to critically analyse at least 3 human resource issues faced by the organization. Provide appropriate recommendations on how you would manage these issues. Students are expected to research the literature, referring to primarily journal articles. You may offer your own insights and draw conclusions but your insights have to be supported by the works of other authors. Plan your research to be able to meet this requirement.

2) Based on your analysis, discuss how you can enhance workforce competitiveness within each human resource issue area selected so that the workforce can contribute more effectively to the organization.

Assessment Requirements:

Individual Type-Written Report

Maximum word length allowed is 4000 words.

The assignment assessment criteria and marks allocation are as follows:

This assignment is worth 30% of the final assessment of the module.

Student is required to submit a type-written document in Microsoft Word format with Times New Roman font type, size 12 and line spacing of 1.5.

The Harvard Style of Referencing system is COMPULSORY.

Indicate the sources of information and literature review by including all the necessary citations and references adopting the Harvard Referencing System.

Students who have been found to have committed acts of Plagiarism are automatically considered to have failed the entire semester. If found to have breached the regulation for the second time, you will be asked to leave the course.
