KEYSUpon arrival you will receive:- 1 Electronic key for your door, entrance door, and laundry room

o To close the door to your flat push the door firmly and then press *. If the display starts to flash the door was not properly closed.

o Always check that you have your keys before locking the door!o The front door of the building must be kept closed at all times.

Cleaning:You need to keep the apartment tidy and clean. Inspections will be carried out throughout the semester and rooms that require extensive cleaning will be charged an additional fine.

Mailbox:Use your electronic key, wait for blue light, turn, take your mail, and turn again to close.

LaundryYou can book the laundry room with your electronic key and it is free of charge.

WindowDo not force the window open! To open the window, press the two buttons on each side of the handle and turn it.

GENERAL INFOHousehold garbageThere are three garbage bins outside the buildings for household rubbish only. Please use all of the bins and not just the first one. The recycling room is in the back of Malvinas väg 14.

No cold waterThe tap water is drinkable but it will never get cold so you need to place a jug of water in the fridge for cold water.

DimmerThere is a dimmer in the bathroom. Hold down the light-switch to dim lights up or down.

Kitchen hoodThe fan in the kitchen is very quiet.

Fire on the stove:Smother the fire with a lid or a blanket. Don’t pour water on it!Candles:Never leave lit candles unattended! Only light candles that are steadily placed in non-flammable candle holders. If you leave the room, put out the candles first.

Make sure that the smoke detector in your room is working.Check your fire detector by: 1.Pressing the “test button”.2.Continue to press the button for a couple of seconds. If it beeps it works and thetest is over.Please make it a habit to check your fire detector every now and then. Never damage orcover a fire detector!
