The Conservation Foundation

and the DuPage County Green

Government Council invite

you to the DuPage Energy

Summit on January 23rd,

2014 at the Hotel Arista in

Naperville. The topic for

2014 is Making DuPage a

“Cool County.”

DuPage County, under the

leadership of county board

chairman Dan Cronin, is

developing a greenhouse

(GHG) emissions reduction

program with the goal of

reducing GHG emissions

10% by 2020 and 20% by

2030. Chairman Cronin

created a Green

Government Council in

2013, consisting of

representatives from the

private sector, to develop a

plan to meet these goals.

The DuPage Energy

Summit is an opportunity

to educate those stakehold-

ers and other community

members on how we can,

by working together,

achieve reduced GHG

emissions and help improve

our quality of life in DuPage

County. Speakers will focus

on specific, local success

stories around reducing

vehicle miles traveled, energy

efficiency at various scales and

funding.

Although anyone is welcome to attend the DuPage Energy Summit, those most likely to benefit from this year’s presentations are local

municipalities, small businesses, and those from the manufacturing and industrial sectors.
