    Makina Mhendislii El Kitab'nn ikinci basksn meslektalarmznve gen mhendis adaylarnn kullanmna sunmaktan kvan duyuyoruz.

    Bilim ve teknolojideki hzl gelimeler, yllar nce yaynlamolduumuz 4 ciltlik El Kitab'nn kapsaml bir ekilde gzdengeirilmesini gerekli kld. Bu sorumluluun bilinciyle ikinci bask konukapsam ve her konu ierii itibariyle adeta btnyle yeniden yazld.l itibariyle de daha byk tutulan El Kitab drt cilt halindedzenlendi.

    Bylesine geni kapsaml bir bilimsel eserin ortaya konmasnn nekadar youn bir aba ve sreyi gerektireceini takdir edeceinizegveniyoruz. Yine bylesi bir eser, maliyeti itibariyle ancak kazandrtsnden uzak, bilimsel katk endiesinin ar bast bir giriimigerektirmekteydi ve bu onur, retim-aratrma-sanayi kurulularndanseilmi, herbiri kendi arasnda youn kurumsal ve uygulamaluzmanlklar ile bilinen, byk bir zveri ve maddi karlllemeyecek emek katks ile blmlerini hazrlayan yazarlara aittir.

    Byle bir almann gsterebilecei gecikme ve olabilecek eksikliklerinanlayla karlanacana inanyoruz.

    Odamzn hemen her genel kurulunda, meslektalarmzn belirttikleri balca ortak arzuolan MAKNA MHENDSL EL KTABI'nn ilk cildini yaynlamaktan mutluyuz. El Kitab,yaklak 32 blmden oluacak biimde planlanmtr. Her blm ayr bir meslektamztarafndan yazlmtr. Blmler arasnda dil ve sayfa dzeni bakmndan bir uyum salanmasiin nemli aba harcanmtr. Ancak, bu alma srasnda, blm yazarnn yaz slubu,olabildiince korunmaya allmtr. Teknik yazn (literatr) zengin sanayi lkelerinde bir elkitabndan beklenen hizmet, genellikle, bavurulan konudaki ana ilkelerin, balca formllerinve uygulamada kullanlan ortalama saysal deerlerin hatrlanmasdr. Bir el kitabnn tasarm(design) amacyla kullanlmas, ounlukla, nerilmez. nk buradaki bilgiler, ancak birhesabn kontrol, seilen tasarm verilerinin uygun snrlar iinde bulunup bulunmadkonusunda fikir verirler.

    Ancak, lkemizin koullar bizi, yukarda zetlenen bu temel grlerde deiiklik yapmayazorlamaktadr. Teknik yaznmzn zengin olmay nedeniyle, birok konuda olduka genibilgi verilmitir. Bylece, bir el kitabnn erevesinin ald sylenebilir. Yukarda aklanannedenlerle, yazar meslektalarmz bu konuda olduka serbest braktk. Sonu olarak,Trkiye'de ilk defa yaynlamaktan kvan duyduumuz bu teknik el kitab, birok konuda, birbavurma kitab durumuna geldi. Bu durumun, meslektalarmz tarafndan olumlukarlanacan umuyoruz.

    MAKNA MHENDSL EL KTABI'nn birinci basksnn zerinden ok zaman geti(1.-3. ciltler 1976-1977; 4. cilt 1981).

    Bilim ve teknikteki olaanst hzl gelimeler ve yeni uygulamalar bir yeni basky zorunlukld.

    Birinci bask, birinci basknn nsznde de belirtildii gibi, bir el kitabndan beklenendendaha geni kapsaml hazrlanmt. Ksa zamanda tkenmi olmas, bu amacn gerekliinikantlamtr.

    u anda meslektalarmzn kullanmna sunulan bu ikinci baskda klasik el kitaplarnnsnrlarna ekilmek istedik.

    Ancak, yine de blm yazarlarn bir lde serbest braktk. Bu bakmdan, bu ikincibasknn klasik el kitab ile bavuru kitab arasnda bir yer aldn sylemek mmkndr.
