Materials needed* Template of Blaze’s logo

* Black paint or black felt tip pen

* Stick of some sort – we’re using a chopstick!

* Black A4 paper/card

* White A4 paper/card

* Red paper/card

* Ruler

* Pencil

* Scissors* Yellow paper/card

Instructions

Fold an A4 piece of paper in half and cut along the fold. Then take one of the pieces and fold it down the middle again.

Then with a ruler, mark along the longest side every 2.5 cm and draw a straight line from each mark to the fold in the paper.

Cut from the fold down the lines ALMOST all the way, stopping before you cut the paper into bits.

Grab your black paper, fold it in half and cut along the fold. After that, draw straight lines every 2.5cm along the long side and cut the paper into strips.

Now the tricky bit! Grab your white paper and start weaving the black strips over and under the white strips.

Tape your flag to the stick

Cut out the template of the Blaze logo. Place the big template on the red card, and the smaller one of the yellow card. Cut them out and stick them together

You’re ready to race!

Finally, add the logo to the flag using sticky glue
