Appraisal Management Companies:Appraisal Management Companies:
AMC’s have become a significant factor in residential real estate transactions. By acting as a buffer between the lender and the appraiser they seek to insure that the appraisal is accurate and reasonable.
Appraisal Management Companies:Appraisal Management Companies:
In an effort to mitigate these problems the Association will support the efforts of the appraisal community to impose a reasonable licensing and regulation system on AMC’s.
Home Inspector LicensingHome Inspector Licensing
Recognizing that the home inspector has become an integral part of the residential real estate transaction the Association will continue efforts to insure that all home inspectors meet minimum standards of competency through a licensing/regulation system overseen by a board of home inspectors.
Recording FeesRecording Fees
A stable property recording system is the key to maintaining property values. It is appropriate for those who benefit from the system to pay for its maintenance. Fees on recording that are unrelated to the system are an additional levy on a portion of the population and are inherently unfair.

"Shall the Missouri Constitution be amended to prevent the state, counties, and other political subdivisions from imposing any new tax, including a sales tax, on the sale or transfer of homes or
any other real estate?“ - YES
