“Ladies’ Tea”

There were more than 70 ladies present at the Ladies’ Tea at the Fairfield Church of the Nazarene on April 9th. There were a variety of tea cups and some ladies even wore spring hats. We were fed and entertained and lots of fellowship was going on. A good time was had by all, even our youngest lady, Annie seemed to enjoy herself.

Prepare yourselves to come to the “Ladies’ Fall Retreat” on October 21-23, 2011. It will be at the China Lake Conference Center. Our speaker will be Dr. Jesse Owens. The cost will be $70 per woman and that INCLUDES FOOD AND LODGING. If you are not going to stay overnight, the cost will be $35. You are to bring a Bible, friends, linens, toiletries, towels, layered clothing and snacks. Money is due October 14, 2011. Checks are to be made out to Maine District Sunday School and mailed to Maine District, PO Box 130, Gardiner, ME, 04345. You could have your church help raise the money by having fund raisers for your ladies to go on this retreat. ********

“Take me out to the ball game!” Well, the men are going to see the Sea Dogs play baseball in Portland on August 13th. We will have a time of devotion, prayer and fellowship in the morning. Then, we’ll head out to the ball park and watch and cheer on the players at the game. Contact Jim Tabone at 207-934-0252 for more information and reservations. “Batter, up!”

URGENT! The need for Crisis Care Kits is urgent. You can bring them to family camp or any of the camps during the summer. At other times, you can take them to the Strong Church of the Nazarene. A fall trip to the Crisis Care Kit warehouse in Fawn Grove, Pennsylvania is being planned. More information will be coming in the future. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________
