About Fast Track

Fast Track helps its sponsors to win new business by raising their profile and giving them opportunities to meet with ‘hard-to-reach’ owners and directors of the UK’s top-performing private companies.

Companies are identified and engaged through seven annual league table awards and networking events programmes with The Sunday Times, ranging from the fastest-growing SMEs to the biggest private companies:

Over the past 20 years, Fast Track has created an alumni network of top-performing private companies and entrepreneurs. It has tracked the rise of many private growth companies such as chip designer ARM and Carphone Warehouse before they floated; and over 4,500 companies ranging from INEOS and Dyson to Skyscanner and innocent. Founders of these companies continue to attend our alumni dinners as speakers and guests.

Fast Track is owned and run by Dr Hamish Stevenson who founded it in 1997 with support from Sir Richard Branson; and has an associate fellowship at Green Templeton College, Oxford University. The company is based in Oxford with 24 staff and a network of freelancers. Luke Johnson is chairman of Fast Track’s advisory board.
