Sub.—Council’s yearly examination programme for the year 2010.

Sir/Madam,

I am sending herewith a copy of Council’s Yearly Examination Programme for the calendar year 2010 foryour perusal information and further necessary action. Please read the instruction appended herewith carefullyand comply with them before sending the list and examination applications to this Council to avoid delay andunnecessary correspondence. Moreover, you have to submit internal evaluation marks of all the candidates tothis Council on or before the last date fixed for receipt of internal evaluation marks as shown in the yearlyexamination programme else candidates will not be allowed to appear for the examination. Internal evaluationmarks should be submitted as per the serial number and names shown in the Institutional Training Certificate.

Examination applications received after the scheduled date prescribed in this yearly programme will not beaccepted and Institution responsible for Student loss.

N.B. :—1. Oral and Practical examination will be held before or after the written examination.

2. If the Sister Tutor of the particular institution refuses to be an examiner for oral and Practicalexamination, the Oral and Practical examination of the candidates of her institution will be held at thenearest centre.

3. If any of the examination date falls on Public Holiday the new examination date will be fixed by theCouncil.

IMPORTANT SUGGESTIONS

1. The Principal/Nursing Officer should keep in her possession sufficient Zerox copies of S.L.C./S.S.C./H.S.C./Pre-Degree Passing Certificate and Mark Certificate to avoid unnecessary delay in submittingexamination application forms. Candidate will not be allowed to appear for the examination if copies ofabove certificate are not attached with attestation of the Matron/Principal / Nursing officer (where Principal is having independent status) with official seal and signature.

2. Since Council is sending Examination Yearly Programme one year before the examination, the institu-tion should collect and submit examinatiom applications of the Candidates before last date mentioned inthe programme. Application received late will be accepted with late fees of Rs. 50/- per candidate will becharged after the last date fixed. However, this facility will be available upto 15 days from the last datefixed by the Registrar.

3. The institutional training certificates should be signed by the Matron and Principal / Nursing Officeralong with their rubber stamps. Authorities of the institution should attach Permission letter ofstarting ANM/GNM/PCC School of Nursing issued by M.N.C. for that particular year to the examtraining certificates of 1st years Nursing students. Also zerox copy of Council appeared enrollment listto be attached with the Exam Training Certificates.

4. Internal evaluation marks should be submitted to the Council prior to one month of the writtenexamination on or before the date mentioned in the programme.

5. All the Tutors/Clinical Instructor should be instructed to read above requirements so thatthey will not delay in completing and submitting examination applications.

6. The Authorities of the Institution should purchase and use printed ANC-PNC book, procedure chartsand forms available in the Council’s office. Council has not permitted anybody to print and sell aboveitems. The Council will take legal action against such person who will print and sale or use fake items.Students will loose their marks if they use such fake items.

7. Tutors should be instructed not to refuse examinership as it is integral part of theirprofessional duties.

8. Names of Students should be typed or written in the institutional training certificatealphabetically as per School Leaving Certificate and same order should be maintainedwhile sending the internal assessment marks. Also, arrange individual exam, application inthe same order.

9. Seat No. of the previous examination should be mentioned in the column of the institutional trainingcertificates.

10. Name of the student on the mark certificates will be as per School Leaving Certificate only. If there isany mistake it should be brought to the notice of the Council within 3 months from the dateof its receipt.

11. Exemption is valid for period of 2 years from the month of examination which is earned.

REVISED GENERAL NURSING AND MIDWIFERY-FIRST YEAR ( NEW COURSE)

(1) Individual Examination application alongwith Zerox copies of S.S.C.,H.S.C; Passing Certificate, SchoolLeaving Certificate, Equivalency Certificate obtained from respective Universities in Maharashtra or H.S.C.Board in case of candidate passed H.S.C. Exam. other than H.S.C. Board of Maharashtra State, dulyattested by the Matron or Principal with rubber stamp.

Copies of Certificates without attestation of Matron/Nsg. Supdt./Principal will not be accepted.

(2) Institutional Training Certificate indicating the date of admission, date of birth, period of attendance,Annual and sick leave taken, Internal evalution marks out of 25 for written (Theory) and for practical outof 50. If the Candidate gets less than 50% marks in internal evalution his examination application shouldnot be submitted. (Please do not send internal evalution forms with the examination application) Institu-tional marks as per serial numbers and names of the candidates given in the institutional training certifi-cate should be submitted to avoid mistake. Authorities of the institution should attach permission letterissued by council for that particular year.

(3) Examination fee of Rs. 250/- + Rs. 10/- for mark Certificate by D.D/P.O. drawn in the name of the Registrar,Maharashtra Nursing Council, Mumbai. Cheques are not acceptable.

(4) Late fee of Rs. 50/- will be charged if the application is received after the last date fixed by the Registrar,However this facility will be available only upto 15 days from the last date fixed for receipt of the applica-tion in Council’s Office.

(5) Minimum attendance of 11 months is required to appear for examination. However, in case of candidatesavailed of sick leave the attendance should not be less than 10 months and 20 days. Attested copy ofMedical Certificates by the Principal/Nursing Superintendent is to be attached alongwith the applicationform to prove the authenticity.

(6) Candidates should complete17 years before 31st July everly year and upper age limit is upto 35 yearscandidate admitted underage or overage will not be permitted for the examination.

(7) Fees once paid will not be refunded as per the provision of By-laws. However, if the candidate is sick andthe institution informs about her sickness and submits Medical Certificate before the written examinationthe fees will be retained and used for next examination.

(8) Full name of the candidate should be written in Institutional Training Certificate as per S.L.C. in alpha-betical order beginning with Surname, First Name and Father’s Name-for e.g. Kum. SawantSangita Rajesh. Change in the name will not be accepted thereafter.

(9) For change of the name either marriage certificate or affidavit made before the Magistrate or Govt.Gazette indicating maiden and married name should be submitted in case of married candidate.

(10) For change in the date of birth affidavit is not accepted.

(11) 1st year examination application enclosures should be in the series of (1) School Leaving Certificates(2) XIIth Passing Board Certificates (3) Xth Passing Board Certificates. Candidates will not be allowed toappear for the examination without passing certificate.

(12) Equivalency for Pre-degree Certificate (P.D.C.) should be obtained from the Regional University/ Board ofMaharashtra only in case of candidate who has passed 12th standard exam. other than Maharashtra State.

(13) Minimum 45% Marks should be obtained in H.S.C (XIIth Standard) if less then caste and Creamy LayerCertificate is to be attached.

(14) Late admission of candidates should be adjusted from the annual leave and then only fill the ExaminationTraining Certificate.

(15) Grades for English subject should be sent alongwith internal evalution marks.

(1) Individual examination application along with Zerox copy of 1st year Mark Certificate duly attested by theMatron or Principal with rubber stamp.

(2) Institutional Training Certificate indicating the date of admission, date of birth, period of attendance,Annual leave and sick leave taken, Internal evaluation marks out of 25 for written (theory) and for Practi-cal out of 50. Sick leave can not be accumulated and taken for next year. If the candidate is getting lessthan 50% marks in institutional evaluation she is not eligible to appear for the examination.(Please do not send internal evaluation forms with the examination application to theCouncil) Institutional marks as per serial numbers and names of the candidates given in theinstitution training certificate should be submitted to avoid mistake.

(3) Institution should send Practical - II Psychiatric Nursing Marks out of 100.

(4) Examination fee of Rs. 250/- + Rs. 10/- for mark certificate by D.D/P.O. drawn in the name of the Registrar,Maharashtra Nursing Council, Mumbai. Cheques are not acceptable.

(5) Late fee of Rs. 50/- will be charged if the application is received after the last date fixed by theRegistrar, However this facility will be available only upto 15 days from the last date fixed forreceipt of the application in Council’s office.

(6) Minimum attendance of 22 months is required to appear for examination. Over and above maximum 10days sick leave will be deducted from the above period if enjoyed during 2nd year. Medical Certificateshould be attached with the application form to prove the authenticity.

(7) Fees once paid will not be refunded as per By-laws. However, if the candidate is sick and the institution willinforms about her sickness and submits Medical Certificate before the Written Examination the fees willbe retained and used for next examination.

(8) The name of the candidate should be written in institutional training certificate as it appears on theCandidates’s 1st year mark certificate. (Specially seat No wise as per last year result)

(10) Grades for Computer subject should be sent alongwith internal evaluation marks as per Council CircularMNC/Exam/18/ /2005 dated 25/07/2005.e.g.

Minimum passing marks-

‘C’ Grade 41% to 50%

‘B’ Grade 51% to 59%

(5) Late fee of Rs. 50/- will be charged if the application is received after the last date fixed by theRegistrar, However this facility will be available only upto 15 days from the last date fixed forreceipt of the application in Council’s office.

(6) Minimum attendance of 33 months is required to appear for examination. Over and above maximum10 days sick leave will be deducted from the above period if enjoyed during 3rd year. Medical Certificateshould be attached with the application form to prove the authenticity.

(7) Fees once paid will not be refunded as per provision of By-laws. However, if the candidate is sick and theinstitution will informs about her sickness and submits Medical Certificate before the WrittenExamination fees will be retained and used for next examination.

(8) The candidate who has passed in all the subject of the first year and second year Council’s examination andhas put in total 33 months attendance is only eligible to appear for 3rd year examination. The applicationof the candidate should not be sent for Revised G.N.M. 3rd examination unless she/he has fulfilled thiscondition.

(9) Refresher training is not prescribed for unsuccessful candidates of Revised G.N.M. 3rd year.

(7) The candidate who has passed in all the subject of the Third year Council’s examination and has put intotal 39 months attendance is only eligible to appear for internship examination. The application of thecandidate should not be sent internship for Revised G.N.M. examination unless she/he has fulfilled thiscondition.

(8) If the gap between two examination( of the same year) is more than 5 years the candidate has to repeat thetraining.
