These proximity sensors are designed for contactless position indication whenmounted on Festo cylinders with sensing capability. Installation on cylinderswith sensor groove is by means of friction fit in the sensor groove; for roundcylinders, mounting is by means of a mounting bracket, Type SMBR-10-... .

The sensor emits an electric signal when actuated by a magnetic field (e.g. thepermanent magnet on the cylinder piston).

Operating status is indicated by a yellow LED.

These sensors are “LABS-Free.” This means the valve is free from any type oflubricant that is damaging in paint applications, an example is silicone.

These proximity sensors are used for non-contact position sensing for Festocylinders, Types ESNU and DSNU. The U-shaped connector permits side-by-side mounting with a minimum 0.32 in / 8 mm cylinder stroke length.

When the proximity sensor enters a magnetic field (e.g., the permanent magneton the piston of a cylinder), it outputs an electrical signal.

The sensing status is indicated by a light emitting diode. When actuated, theyellow LED indicator is on. The sensor is protected against reverse polarity.
