The coverline is using hyperbole create hype around the main image. “Live from outer space” could imply that the band in the main image are so popular they’re out of this world. It can also reference the scale of U2’s live show which is stated below as the ‘biggest rock show ever’.

The main image on this magazine cover is Bono and The Edge of popular rock band U2. The main image in this cover also hides part of the magazine logo (masthead) which can imply that the magazine is already well established and that the potential audience should already be aware of it’s name and existence. The Edge in the main image is also wielding a guitar which can suggest the main article is about the band’s live show.The colour scheme of this cover is a neon red/purple scheme. The neon in the chosen colour scheme can connote a bright energy in the dark which can reference the brightness of U2’s live show.

The only over coverline on the magazine cover makes reference to the news reporting/commentary that comes with this particular music magazine. The use of the word ‘naked swindle’ implies that there will be some kind of exclusive exposure in the magazine which you won’t find else where. The fact there is only one other cover line can also help stress the significance of the main coverline.

The masthead of the cover contains the words “The Music Magazine”, This can imply that this music magazine is significant and the only magazine the audience should buy or even know about. Unlike the previous cover pages this cover has the title over the image which may suggest that the brand is in it’s infancy and is still establishing an identity.

The main image on this cover is of the American rock artist Bruce Springsteen. The main image is also three pictures of Bruce Springsteen which shows the significance of this main image and that the magazine’s main article will be about him.

The main coverline in this image has the line “World Exclusive” which is used as a selling point to it’s potential audience. “World Exclusive” implies that you will read an interview with Bruce Springsteen on the topics in the interview in this magazine first. The coverline also says “reveals all” which implies that the main article/interview will have an exclusive exposure of the artist and unseen details/information will be revealed in this magazine.

This coverline teases the audience as to what other articles may be in the magazine. This particular one mentions a Beatles album with a image of The Beatles.
