All successful applicants will be asked to provide the slides for their presentation 36 hours before the lecture takes place. This will enable us to ensure presentation details are available on our website for delegates to download at the conference. Mary MacKinnonMary MacKinnon was a nurse and lecturer who specialised in practice and diabetes nursing. During her career she was dedicated to the care and education of people with diabetes and those close to them and worked locally, nationally and internationally to this end.

Mary promoted professional education in diabetes and the inclusion of primary healthcare providers in local integrated diabetes teams with personal support provided by specialist teams.

She was committed to the philosophy of 'whole person care', which enables people with diabetes to manage their condition, to be the key member of their own healthcare team and to be included and involved in the planning of local diabetes services.
