MacBook Display Grading Guide
LCDs can be cracked, defective, or delaminated (Grading criteria below applies to display housing only)
Grade A Display: Excellent
Display Assembly in pristine shape that includes LCD gasket, clutch cover and all cabling (Wifi/camera/LVDS).
Possesses no scratches, imperfections or marks on shell at all. Corners perfectly symmetrical with no imperfections.
Grade B Display: Good
Surface scratches are acceptable but no longer than 2” with no metal exposure. Corners must be symmetrical but can
possess a small chip. Cabling (Wifi/camera/LVDS) must be totally functional but can possess some wear and tear.
Gasket and clutch cover can possess minimal wear and tear.
Grade C Display: Fair
Multiple scratches and scratches with exposed metal are acceptable. Dents and gouges are unacceptable. Corners can
possess small chips and small dents. Gasket, clutch cover and cabling (Wifi/camera/LVDS) can possess wear and tear,
but cabling must be totally functional.
Grade F Display: BER Beyond Economical Repair
Display contains either deep gouge(s), severe scratch(es) where metal is exposed, dent(s), bend(s), or corners that are
asymmetrical and severely bent or dinged up.
