    Choose one of the following projects. This project will count as a Major grade.

    Writing Keep a journal or diary for one of the major characters: Macbeth, Lady Macbeth,

    Macduff, Malcolm. Write four entries for the character in the characters voice(you become the character). Each entry should be to one page handwritten

    (with variations for handwriting) or page typed. The entries should be inresponse to an act in the play. For example, if you were Lady Macbeth how

    might you be feeling after Act I and your struggle to convince Macbeth to kill the

    king. Dont just tell what happened. Make some critical judgments about what

    happenedwhy things happened. Be sure that you write in the voice of the

    1. Banquo2. To the witches3. The witches have just given Macbeth the good news that he will be king.4. Banquo expresses a curiosity about his own future (the metaphor of the seeds

    of time) but, unlike Macbeth, shows neither fear nor great desire to receivespecial concessions from the witches. Banquos words help to distinguish himas a foil character to Macbeth as the play goes on.
