3CREENPICTURESSCREENCAPTURESEver need to take a picture of your screen to use in a presentation or document? You can, and the Mac makes it easy

for you. Screen pictures, also called screen captures, appear on your hard drive (not the desktop) called Picture 1, Picture 2, etc. This pictures can be opened in a graphics program and edited or inserted directly into a document. For those who care about such things, these pictures are in PICT format (the Macintosh bitmap format). There are

two ways to take screen pictures, those including the entire screen and those that only include the area you select.
