Am I eligible for this grant? A: Unfortunately, at this time, only applicants with a MNBC Citizenship card are eligible for this grant. Q: Do both applicants have to be over the age of 65 to be eligible for this grant? A: No, as long as you or your spouse is over 65, you are eligible. Q: Do both applicants have to be MNBC citizens to be eligible for this grant? A: No, as long as you or your spouse is an MNBC Citizen, and are listed on the property title, you are eligible for this grant. Please ensure you list your MNBC Citizenship number on your application. Q: I own a mobile home, and pay monthly pad fees. Am I eligible for this grant? A: If you own a mobile or manufactured home, you are eligible for this grant. Q: I own my home but have a reverse mortgage. Do I qualify for this grant? A: Unfortunately, residences with reverse mortgages or outstanding liens are not eligible. Q: My home is part of a co-op. Do I qualify for this grant? A: Unfortunately, you must have sole title to your house to qualify for this grant. Q: What proof of income will I have to provide to confirm eligibility for this grant? A: MNBC requires a copy of your Income Tax Notice of Assessment from the most recent fiscal year (2019). If you are unable to find this document, you may ask for a copy by calling the CRA at 1-800-959-8281. Q: I am unable to submit my application via email. Will applications via Canada Post be considered? A: MNBC encourages everyone who meets the criteria to apply. A portion of the funding has been set aside for applications submitted via Canada Post, as we understand not all of our Citizens have access to the internet or email. Applicants are strongly advised to apply without delay to maximize their ability to be included in the program.

Q: I have a membership card from a BC Métis Chartered Community, but not a MNBC Citizenship card. Am I eligible for this grant?
