I like to paint just for fun! I painted a butterfly when Icame to The Sheepfold. The blue color means sadness andthe black means anger. I picked those colors because Ineed help sometimes because I have too much sadness andtoo much anger.
I drew this butterfly because even though the colors aredark, a butterfly reminds me of peace and self-control.Peace is something I want to have.
Art is very special to me because every time I am angry, I draw so that I can become calm. Ever since I came to The Sheepfold, it has been easier for me to draw and paint.
The butterfly sometimes reminds me of The Sheepfold, that’s why I painted a picture of the butterfly. Butterfliesare free and beautiful. I want to be free of anger and haveGod’s beauty shine in me!

Being a mother is a true gift appointed to me by God. I have found nothing elsein this life as rewarding as my children’s love. I believe they are heaven’s angels andI thank Jesus every time I see them smile and the beautiful expressions Jesusbreathes into them. I feel trustworthy enough to raise them with Jesus Christ intheir lives.
As I look back at my life and think what shapedme into who I am as a mom, I remember myGrandma. She helped take care of me as a child. Her gentleness and wisdom are deeply instilled inme. She was the one who tought me about theLord and all His goodness. I am now blessed with four wonderful children of myown and I sometimes hear her voice and words come out of my own mouth when I teach my kids. I see glimpses of her everyday as I love my children the way sheloved me.
There is not a day that I miss thanking God for the wonderful gift he hasgiven me when I became a mother. Preston is truly heaven sent!
For years I waited to receive the greatest blessing of my life. My life willnever be the same now that I have a son. I now have someone to love unconditionally. My little companion, someone to laugh with. Joey’s smilesbring great joy into my heart, in a way I had never experienced before. I willforever be thankful to the Lord for his life.
Being a mom is very special to me. The kid inside me can come out to play. I discover the world through theeyes of my child and understand the meaning of “seize the day”! I feel that as a mom I am constantly learning
something new. I feel like I am getting to know my children for the first time here atThe Sheepfold, and I am that much more excited forwhat God is going to do in their lives—and I get togo along for the ride. Thank you God!
My goal is to be a better mother to my childrenthan my mother was to me. I want to care for my daughters, be there for them, encourage them topray and teach them to love God. I want them tofollow God so they will do the same for their kids. Ibelieve that God will lead me to be a better mother.
I don’t remember having one good time with my mom, getting a hug, kiss oreven hearing her say “I love you”. I want to do the opposite and by followingGod, I know I can do it! All I have to do is practice saying “I love you” to mykids, kiss and hug them and protect them from evil things.
