LOCATION Parklands Hub is located in a prominent position at the entrance to Daventry International Rail Freight Terminal (DIRFT).
DIRFT is located directly off Junction 18 of the M1 and is considered to be a prime distribution location with excellent access to all main road communications.
The major occupiers on DIRFT include Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Stobart, Royal Mail, the Malcolm Group and DHL.
DIRFT Daventry International Rail Freight Terminal (DIRFT) is one of the largest rail-freight connected distribution parks in the UK. It was originally developed to comprise approximately 2,000,000 sq ft of warehouse space but planning consent has recently been granted for an additional 8,000,000 sq ft of space to be constructed.
As a result in excess of 10,000,000 sq ft of space being located on the estate there is a significant workforce working in the area
and travelling to and from the estate on a daily basis.
For an estate of such a large size there are very few amenities and facilities available for workers and as a result Parklands Hub is ideally placed to provide much needed amenities and facilities to the area.
HOULTONThe former BT Radio Station Site (now known as Houlton), which is located on the edge of DIRFT is about to commence development. This site comprises a 1,200 acre Urban Extension that will see 6,200 houses developed in the next 15 – 20 years.
