    Dear Students:

On Tuesday, February 2 we have the fortunate opportunity to welcome Efren Penaflorida, CNN Hero awardee, to ISM. The PTA hasarranged for him to spend the day on campus during which time he will meet with students from each division. In the MS, he will address grade levels in a full assembly.

Mr. Penaflorida will talk about his life as a young child, education, the reasons he started "the push kart trolley programme", the type ofchildren he is educating, and what he plans to do in the future. We hope that through hearing his story you will be inspired to be activecitizens and responsible, caring contributors to the local community.

In order to make time for Mr. Penafloridas visit, we have an adjusted schedule:

    Period 1 7.30 8.30Period 2 8.35 9.35Break 9.35 9.55Period 3 9.55 10.55

    Period 4 11.00 12.00Assembly 12.00 12.45 (FAT)Lunch 12.45 13.25Period 5 14.30 14.30

After period 4, please go directly to the FAT, and do not stop at your locker. We look forward to welcoming Mr. Penaflorida to ISM!

Recently, we have had a number of items go missing from the locker areas. Please make sure that you close your locker properly by turnthe dial after you shut the door. Turning the dial will reengage the lock so that the door cannot be easily opened.

Wed also like to remind everyone to dispose of trash and used dishes after you finish eating during break and lunch time. Plates, cups another trash have been left on tables, and this is unacceptable. Act responsibly and clean up after yourselves!

    Have a great weekend!

    Ms. Fredericks and Ms. Sayson
