How insignificant TONdulkar’s tons, Mayavathi’s non-whiteelephants and young Yadav’s ascension to the U.P throne look, compared to the Koodankulam picnic by Jayaa and the scientificcommunity who empowered the vital functioning of Tamilnaduand
those other States who want their mite of the atomicallyproduced electricity for their industries so that more people couldbe employed and more mouths fed.
Even the protesters had a few months of undisturbed good sleepas the mosquitoes, wary of tapping the warriors, starved while thesleepers had a gala picnic with plenty of booze, in what looked likegood spacious halls on TV. None of them looked hungry becausethe naysayers abroad were funding them. Fear of falling afoul oftheir foreign sponsors kept the doughty ones in jolly good picnicmood and with some hope that their mugs would be flashed all overthe globe as the brave fighters of Indian recidivism .
Scientists and our good old ex-President Kalam told the ignora-muses that there is no calamity as we were not making the bomb, which we already have, but power that could empower the countryto rise to the level of the industrialised nations of the world andperhaps overtake them for the common good. Amma persisted,Russia assured and Singh sang “Jana Gana Mana” to inauguratethe end of the fake protest that has allegedly fattened the pursesof some and impoverished many industries and sweat-washedmillions .
One good thing about these aberrations is that we realise thebenefits of science we take for granted only when rabble rouserssing dirges based on Fukushima and Chernobyl.
Several thousand died inhaling poisoned gas in Bhopal twodecades ago. Is there no gas produced in India except the rhetoricgas during elections? Rahul and Maya overproduced the lethal gasto their perdition. Fellows, talk less, try to perform better for theforgotten entity called “People” and the country will applaud everytime you add one dozen more granite elephants to the animalkingdom within a capital city. See you soon in Koodankulam!
