Unfold the Hidden Link Between theTheology of the Body & Our Lady of Guadalupe!

Thursday, dec. 8 Day 1 – DEPART FROMUSA/feast of the immaculate conceptionArrival in Mexico City on your own and take a private transfer to the hotel. The group will gather at the hotel at 6 p.m. for a welcome reception and orientation followed by dinner. A welcome/Feast of the Immaculate Conception Mass at Our Lady of Good Remedies, where we also see the famous giant statue of St. Michael the Archangel, will be scheduled at 4 p.m. for the pilgrims who are arriving early. (Welcome dinner at the hotel.)

FRIday, dec. 9 Day 2 – fr. miguel pro, pyramidsAfter the buffet breakfast at the hotel, we transfer to Mass at Holy Family Church, then visit and pray at the tomb of Fr. Miguel Agustin Pro, S.J., the Jesuit martyr. In a time of great religious persecutions, Fr. Pro was exiled from Mexico during the Mexican Revolution. However, he returned to Mexico and was aided by a secret ministry who helped him hide from authorities. During his time in Mexico, he assisted many individuals in their spiritual, as well as temporal, needs. Although he helped many, he was eventually arrested and killed by authorities. While at this church, we pray to this great martyr who remained filled with the joy of serving Our Lord even in the midst of very difficult times. We continue to the Archaeological Zone, Teotihuacan, visiting the Pyramids of the Sun and Moon, Temple of Quetzalcoatl, and local arts and crafts markets. (Breakfast & Lunch included, dinner at leisure.)

after the great success of our pilgrimage to Poland in 2015, I am pleased to announce that The Cor Project will be leading you on another spiritual journey in 2016. | Mark your calendars from Dec. 8 to Dec. 13. Spanning two great Marian feasts – the Feast of the Immaculate Conception on Dec. 8 and the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Dec. 12 – we will be going on pilgrimage to Mexico City! | If you have

never experienced the tens of thousands of pilgrims who come on the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe to venerate the tilma, this is something you are not going to want to miss! | We will have daily opportunities for Mass, for confession, there will be daily formation from yours truly on the profound connection between Our Lady of Guadalupe and the Theology of the Body. | You will come to learn the many symbols, the hidden meaning of the tilma as a kind of icon of the theology of the body, and also a profound lesson for the New Evangelization: How do we reach the modern world with the gospel? The tilma provides a critical insight into that very important question. | We will also be touring the holy sites around Mexico City, immersing ourselves in the rich Catholic heritage of the Mexican people. | We’ll have our hotel stay in one central place in Mexico City, and there will be free time in the evenings to tour on your own. | This is going to be a once-on-a-lifetime and life changing experience, and I can’t wait to go there with you! God bless. | Our Lady of Guadalupe, patroness of the Americas and of The Cor Project, pray for us!

CHRISTOPHER WEST

SATURday, dec. 10 Day 3 – historical mexico city, tomb of bishop zumarraga, santo domingo, Rosary shrineBreakfast buffet at the hotel. We drive to the historical section of Mexico City to experience the impressive main square Zocalo, where we visit the National Palace and the Metropolitan Cathedral, the oldest and largest cathedral in all of Latin America. Here, Mass will be celebrated. We will be overwhelmed by the stunning paintings, altar pieces, and statues we encounter during the tour. As we count the days until the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, we will make a special visit to the Cathedral crypt to the tomb of Bishop Zumarraga, to whom Juan Diego presented the miraculous tilma image. Bishop Zumarraga was the first Bishop of Mexico and is also known as the Protector of Indians. The walking tour continues with a visit of the National Palace. This extraordinary palace has represented the ruling class of Mexico since the Aztec Empire. We will also visit the Plaza of Santo Domingo. This plaza contains two holy places that are architecturally exquisite: the Church of Santo Domingo, the first church built by the Dominicans in 1576, and the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary, the first Rosary Shrine in Mexico. We also see the Shrine of Our Lady of Covadonga, the headquarters of the Confraternity of the Most Holy Rosary. Following lunch, we enjoy time at leisure to visit the famous Museum of Anthropology or just enjoy strolling through the streets and shopping. (Breakfast & Lunch included. Dinner at leisure.)

SUNday, dec. 11 Day 4 – Our lady of guadalupe basilica shrine/tepeyac hillBreakfast buffet at the hotel. We travel by way of the Plaza of the Three Cultures, where you will be immersed in the artful blending of pre-Hispanic and Hispanic cultures. Upon arrival at the Shrine of Our Lady Of Guadalupe we visit the Basilica to see the miraculous Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Join your prayers with those of other pilgrims, as you kneel before the altar displaying the astounding Tilma, the sackcloth bearing the image of the Holy Virgin. Celebrate Mass at the Shrine, followed by a visit of the New Basilica, the Old Basilica and Tepeyac Hill. We have time to explore the grounds and shop at the many Shrine stores. Rest of the day is at leisure to explore Mexico City on your own. (Breakfast & Lunch included. Dinner on your own.).

MONday, dec. 12 Day 5 – feast of our lady of guadalupeBreakfast buffet at the hotel. Today is the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Patroness of the Americas. Constant music and dancing by the natives takes place throughout the day and night at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe. We return to the Basilica Shrine for Mass, which will be celebrated according to the scheduled time there. We have time to further explore the Guadalupe Shrine, the Church of the Hill, Church of the Well, Monument of the Offerings and Church of the Indians.
