The Sunrise Quartet Saturday, Oct. 5th 2013 at 8PM The Barclay Brass Sunday, Dec. 8th 2013 at 3PM Two by Two Saturday, March 15th 2014 at 8PM Triple Delights Sunday, May 25th 2014 at 3PM The Sunrise Quartet, Claudia Chudacoff, violin, Teri Lazar, violin, Osman Kivrak, viola, Diana Fish, cello, founded in 1991 and based in Washington DC, has given concerts at the Kennedy Center, National Building Museum, Corcoran Museum, Phillips Collection, Mozart Festival at the World Bank, and Chautauqua Festival at Dickinson College. They have completed a Chamber Music America residency at Duke Ellington School of the Arts where they performed concerts and coached music students. They also perform as the National Gallery String Quartet at the National Gallery of Art. In 2011, they performed an all-Beethoven concert as part of the Gallery’s presentation of Beethoven’s string quartets. Besides standard quartet repertoire, they present rarely heard masterpieces of chamber music. Willie Clark, tuba, is the tubist for the National Philharmonic, a founding member of Barclay Brass. Cellist Ken Ding currently performs with the National Philharmonic Orchestra, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and is a cello section coach for Maryland Classical Youth Orchestra. Castle In The Mist Saturday September 25th, 2010 at 8pm Flutist Jennifer Rundlett earned her Masters degree from Peabody Conservatory under Tim Day and studied at the Royal Northern College of Music in England with the famous flute pedagogist Trevor Wye. She is on the faculty of the Frederick Community College and Mount St. Mary’s University. She will play music by Amy Beach, Cecil Chaminade and “Castle in the Mist” by Phyllis Avida Louke, using the C flute, the alto flute and the piccolo. Her flute is a Powell gold flute with a platinum riser. Pianist Li-Ly Chang is Director of the International Young Artist Piano Competition and commissioned composer in 2011 of the Maryland State Music Teachers Association. was hailed by the New York Times as “an artist to watch with a fine blend of technical skill and interpretive insight.” She was silver medalist at Villa Lobos International Competition in 1976 and taught at the University of Illinois. She will play “The Suite Populaire Espanole” by Manuel de Falla, then Martinu’s “Trio” and Li-Ly Chang’s “Fantasia” both for flute, cello and piano.

Trio Music Pilgrim Sunday December 5, 2010 at 3pm Celebrate the holiday season with Trio Music Pilgrim: Vladimir Fridman, Japan and released solo albums. Seth Kibel, Polish clarinetist, flutist and saxophonist, is one of the Mid-Atlantics’s premier woodwind specialists and winner of 17 “Wammies” (Washington Area Music Awards). Bob Abbott, German/Scottish bassist, has been an anchor in the Bay Jazz Project, a Wammie nominated jazz group. They have earned renown for playing diverse musical styles including classical, Latin American (music by Piazzolla, Tangos, Milongas, Bossa-Novas), Klezmer music (Bulgars, Freilakhs, Yiddish songs), and holiday music as well as original compositions.
